Fhplotterywheel - cool name, but what's it for?
Hello! It has come to our attention that we haven't been outright clear about what
fhplotterywheel should be used for. For that, we apologize. So for new players and old, here's a brief rundown of what the deal is.
Plots that will affect a significant amount of people and/or will have a lasting effect should be run by the admins first by sending an email to administration@fandomhigh.net. We're not trying to ruin anyone's fun, just to keep things at a manageable level because this place can get pretty manic. We also know everything that is going on, often stuff that players don't know, so by checking in with us we can also let you know whether or not your plot will be interfered with. We just want a look in to make sure that your plot will fit in at the time and won't ruin anyone's fun.
So with that background info out of the way, here's what
fhplotterywheel is all about. It's for:
* Recruiting players to join an admin-approved plot
* Minor plots (ie: personal plots) that don't require admin approval
* Shooting around ideas for larger plots that aren't quite formed yet
Basically, that last one is if you've got some ideas, but need a hand putting it all togther. Please just make sure that you label the idea as an idea so people know it hasn't been run by the admins yet.
Plot, scheme, plan mayhem.
fhplotterywheel is yours to do so. But once you've got a workable idea that you would like to try, shoot us an email so we can discuss the particulars with you before it becomes available in its final, ready-to-go form for public consumption.
Obviously we can't come up with a clear statement that covers every possible plot idea or you'll be here reading a 215 page manual that STILL doesn't answer everything clearly. But the basic idea of a plot that DOESN'T require admin approval is one that:
* only involves one or two people
* has no NPC characters coming in
* doesn't have a lasting effect
* doesn't last longer than a week
* minor off-island plottishness with NPCs from your fandom (visits home, phone calls, etc). You should run that past other players from your fandom though.
* anything involving normal pets (but clear it with your roomie)
All we ask is that you use your common sense when it comes to plots. You're also more than welcome to send us an email or grab one of us on IM to ask a question or discuss some plot possibilities.
Thanks guys!
