Nature Magic - Upcoming Sessions

If anyone has checked out the syllabus post for Jenny's workshop this summer, you'll notice two upcoming sessions--one on magical flora, and another session on geology. They're intended to be light, easy sessions with harmless magic and other potential fun.

The question is this: Does anyone have any specific, magically harmless or beneficial plants or minerals that they want me to incorporate from their canon? Alternately, is there anything anyone needs specifically not included from their canon?

HP fandom, I'm already checking out the absolutely amazing HP lexicon, but suggestions are welcome.

Power Rangers folks, I only know original PR canon, so if you could point me in the direction of anything from your canon that would be interesting, I would greatly appreciate it.

Everyone else? I may or may not know your canon, but hey, this is an open suggestion post, so I'm open for suggestions. :)

Going from the Lexicon's Magical and Mundane Plants List (http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/herbology.html) (because I'm still unpacking all my books)...

Might fun to include:
Flutterby Bushes
Gillyweed
Honking Daffodils
Puffapods
Screechsnap
Leaping Toadstools

Probably good to avoid:
Bubotubers
Devil's Snare
Mandrake

Could be fun, depending:
Mimbulus Mimbletonia

Briar knows a LOT about plants and their properties. Last I checked, all of Briar's plants where ones that are, uh, available in teh real world as well. I know nothing about plants, with a few rare exceptions and usually he will be saying things along the lines of *handwaved* does this.
