Ghost Plot

Sunday evening, Veronica and Nadia, along with whoever else wants to join them, will be heading out to camp, making a campfire and telling scary stories. What they don’t realize is this is going to unleash some emotional trauma and potential danger for Fandom, in the form of Lysistratas – who is a creature that is a sort of “emotional vampire” and feeds on strong, negative emotions.
At some point after the campfire on Sunday night, a dozen people will start being haunted by the ghosts of people from their pasts. These dozen people have been notified of who they are already. The presence of these ghosts will invoke strong emotions which the creature will feed on. The ghosts can manipulate tangible objects, but they cannot cause physical harm to anyone.
Only the person being haunted and people with canonical abilities to see ghosts (Anakin, Stark, MacBeth, Hamlet, and Bridge) will be able to see the ghosts. If you have the canonical ability to see ghosts, please let us know and we’ll get you additional info on the plot.
As the week goes on and those twelve individuals start to realize there are other people being haunted, we’ll need people doing research to try to figure out why they’re being haunted and how to stop it. This is open to anyone who is interested. We’re hoping to be able to utilize the library and/or Giles’s shop.
The basic crux is that Lysistratas is trying to get strong enough to rise. The twelve haunted folks will need to overcome their emotions to stop feeding him and some other people will need to do some magical things to keep him from rising (we have some ideas for this, but if you’re from a magical fandom and have anything you think your character can contribute, let us know).
The magical stuff will happen either Friday or Saturday night, depending on player availability.
Since Bel has the impeccable timing of planning a plot for the weekend she’s moving, I’ll be making sure things get off the ground and started smoothly, but you can catch either of us on AIM (veronicamarsFH or belthazor fh) or via email.
