24 Dance Marathon
Hi, this is me, being too lazy to switch logins.
Lorelai is running the 24 Hour Dance Marathon that is the final Friday event of the summer. It will start in game at 1:00p on Friday afternoon and end at 1:00p on Saturday (or when there's only one couple left standing).
So, in canon (because, yes, the dance marathon is a Gilmore Girls canon event), the rules are that all couples must be touching at all times and must always be moving. There is a 10 minute break once per hour for restroom, eating, sitting down, etc. And each participant gets a yellow emergency card and can use that to leave the floor for 10 minutes provided their partner stays on the dance floor and keeps moving.
Each couple that signs up (and couple is loosely defined as two people who want to participate dancing together. Doesn't have to be an actual couple) will be assigned a number. When I put up the post, I'll run the RNG and each OCD thread let you know who's out for that round. If you want your characters to pull out early or have a fight and storm off the floor or something else, let me know so I can plan accordingly.
The marathon will be held in two posts. The first one (that will include registration) will go up Thursday night. The second one will go up at some point Friday - late afternoon/early evening.
There will be a lot of OCD, including food stations and a place for people who want to stop by and watch.
If you want to participate please sign up on this post by Thursday at 6pm EST so I can figure out the OCD. I'll screen comments so if you have any special requests, etc, you can let me know without spoiling anything.
If you have any questions, comment here and I'll answer them.
There will be flyers going up in game announcing prizes as soon as I get everything approved!
ETA: The dance marathon is being held at Caritas so it's open to students, teachers and townies!!
