Thanksgiving plot

Well, not exactly a Thanksgiving related plot, but a plot which will be taking place over Thanksgiving.

I'm making a call out to all teachers and possibly a townie or two who might be interested in participation of an action-type plot.

The main action will take place either Friday or Saturday, depending on what best fits everyone's schedule.




So, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, one of the students El is close to will be kidnapped by agents of a Mexican drug cartel in an attempt to draw him out into the open.

The administration will act accordingly and contact the authorities. However, the authorities are greatly impeded by the fact that the cartel has paid the right people to keep them from doing anything really effectual.

So El, being El, will take matters into his own hands and go out to save his student himself. For those of you unfamiliar with the El Mariachi series of movies, this will mean a really exciting and awesome gun fight.

I'm looking for teachers (mostly teachers, because they dont' get to do much) and townies who will join El's posse to rescue the girl. Given El's loner nature, I'm waiting to decide on how the group gets together based on who joins. It might be the case that instead of going with him, they might be chasing after him.

We'll see.

An important point to make though, is that unlike many other previous plots, there are not monsters in any way. Oh, they are evil to be certain, but they are humans. Humans with human powers and human souls. So if your character might have trouble with the killing of humans over, say, vampires or demons or mutants or whatever, you might want to keep that in mind when volunteering.

I'm still uncertain as to what my availibility and plans over Thanksgiving will be, but I'd definately want to get Rosette involved, time and space willing. So I'm putting her up as a possibility?

OMG I would love to be involved in a plot like this for so many reasons (as you say teachers don't ever get to do much) but I'm going to be woefully AFK over Friday of Thanksgiving, not back till Saturday night.

Oddly enough, I might have availability on Friday strictly because I'm working and thus not able to be madly packing or freaking out over moving the next day.

So Daisy is available to wander over, flirt with the evil, bad men, and reap them before the fight.

I'm interested in participating (as Thursday, not Hawkeye), but I'll have to let you know in a day or two whether I'll be available as I'm not too sure yet. If nothing else, I'll do my best to make Hawkeye available for at least one conversation with the holier-than-thou pacifist-type VP if you'd like.
