Operation: Make Conner Miserable (And Then Some)
Hello, all!
Okay, two-stage post here, essentially. I've got a plot brewing for Conner that will be taking place shortly. The first, and kind of necessary, part is going to involve as many of y'all as possible.
Now, the plot actual does not kick off until December 9th. However, am all about the buildup, so for the two weeks prior to that (starting about the 27th of November) all y'all are more than welcome to help me make sure he has as lousy a time of it as possible. Spill food or staining beverages on his clothes! Trip him! Unintentionally or intentionally make ego-bruising remarks! Make fun of the fact that he wears red all the time! If he bums free food in a common room, accidentally give him the muffin that got made with cayenne pepper instead of brown sugar! Pick fights with him over stupid things (or not so stupid things)! (Those of you who have special powers of any kind? Rub it in.) Teachers, pick on him in class if you want, too; that's always fun. By and large I'm aiming for the small things, the stuff that's irritating in a pebble-in-your-shoe kind of way -- except that it's going to end up being an avalanche of pebbles that pushes him to the event that will really start things off. But hey, a big conflicty-thing or three, I am not opposed to either. This section is pretty flexible.
Anything goes, really, but if you're unsure whether something you have in mind might be crossing a line, ping me on AIM (FutureBucsStar), email (rpg *dot* shanie *at* gmail *dot* com), or here. No need to volunteer for this part, really; if I throw him into a post any time between Nov. 27 and Dec. 9 he is pretty much fair game for the picking-on.
And now, on to the plot proper, which I will be seeking volunteers for, and which I shall put behind a cut to avoid spoilage.
Essentially, without giving everything away, here's the plan: a key figure from Conner's hometown (jointly played by myself and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sogothcally) will be arriving in town on or around December 7th. However -- come December 10th he will look . . . decidedly different. Unrecognizable, even, in a Jekyll-and-Hyde way only with lots more prosthetic makeup.
So the first thing I'm looking for is a few townies, teachers, and/or students who work in town to have brief encounters with Anton Mercer over the course of the week. This doesn't have to be anything extensive; just enough to establish his presence. Ideally, if you could run into him twice -- once before and once after his dramatic makeover -- that'd be awesome, but not necessary. The important part is that he's seen around town enough that Conner can find out about it.
Secondly, I am looking for a couple of fighty-types who are up for a slog through the sewers to cap off the end of the plot. I've already got a couple of people lined up, but I'd like to take on a couple more, preferably people who haven't really gotten to do much in the way of fighty-stuff yet but can.
Thirdly, I will be in need of an extra magic-user or two, and possibly some techie-types as well.
One more thing, and this is key: the finale for all this is taking place the weekend of December 16-17. This is pretty close to the holidays, so I realize people might have wonky access issues around that time what with traveling and such. I might have wonky access issues that weekend myself, so if you're interested in participating, please let me know if the finale will work out better for you if preplayed.
I'll be putting up a filtered post in a few days' time with more information for those who want to be involved, and a futher plotterywheel post with general information will be forthcoming once we get closer to kicking things off.
