Your Ocker Random Events Schedule

Monday - Ongoing random events start today, and last for the full two weeks the island is in Moreton Bay: Vegemite and Tim Tams (like the good and evil of Australian food - the vegemite is EVIL.) have appeared throughout the island's kitchens and common rooms. There are flocks of Australian birds arriving: Galahs, kookaburras, cockatoos, amongst others. Anyone who goes to put a hat on will find that it has mysteriously acquired corks bobbling on strings, hanging from the brim.

Tuesday - Drop Bears. Big fluffy koala-looking bears who drop from a tree, roof, the open sky onto the heads of the unwary and/or unsuspecting (Or even the highly suspicious.), possibly flattening them, and then skitter off so fast that only a faint glimpse of them can be caught.

Wednesday - Beer O'Clock day: whenever a character glances at their watch or a clock it will display beer o'clock. If they say it out loud, a tinnie of Aussie beer will appear! If they say it really enthusiastically, they get a Darwin Stubby!

Thursday - Seagulls! They will fly in and proclaim that whatever you have is 'Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!'.

Friday - This will be a Friday night trip down the gold coast to Dreamworld. thankgoditsme will be loaning us her expertise as a former employee, and putting up some awesome and OCDelicious posts in fh_trips. It's a theme park, with TIGERS.

Sat & Sun - wee tiny adults weekend: The only random event which will be happening at the same time will be...

Kangaroos. Large, cuddly, friendly and fond-of-kids kangaroos, who are big enough to carry a child around in their pouch, and will be happy to do so. This one is completely gimmemoreteams fault.

Monday - Black stump day. Wherever you're going (inside or out), a black stump will appear in your path. You can walk around it or trip over it, but you'll have to go beyond the black stump to get where you're going.

Tuesday - Bunyips! The island's waters are invaded by bunyips - wild water or tame water, they're both liable to bunyip invasion, so the pond and your bathtub are fair game. They won't hurt you, but they are mischievous and playful, and tend towards being tricksters, so practical jokes ahoy.

Wednesday - Aussie slang day: People will find themselves using Australian slang - new and old and obsolete. Whether they understand what they're saying is entirely up to you!

Thursday - Ekka day! This is the opening day of the Royal Exhibition, and there'll be a trip to the Ekka in the afternoon/evening. Dagwood dogs, fairy floss, and showbags, oh my.

Friday - Friday night trip to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, to learn all about Australian animals, including the most deadly and horrifying.

Sat & Sun - Invasion of Aussie's Most Dangerous And Horrifying critters. Beginning late late Friday night, they will creep, crawl, slither, fly, and swim their way to Fandom. Is it any wonder the island will FLEE on Sunday night?

1) Vegemite is awesome. Sharron is just wrong.
2) Any Americans seen drinking Fosters on Beer O'Clock day will be mocked mercilessly because, seriously? No one in their right mind drinks that swill.
3) Yes. Everything is poisonous or will try to eat you. Even the plants.
