Character Abilities Tally

Guess who gets to steal another post from Erin?

(Hint: It's me)

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

Anyone who, for some reason, does not fit in one of the categories above, please reply here with whatever I didn't give you a shiny thread for.

Please reply with a detailed explanation of what abilities your character possesses, and their skill levels. This is kind of a catch-all for anything that could really be useful to anyone in a plot.

I suppose Chad's armour ability would go in here, as it is something he gains through spiritual energy rather than magic or anything psychic. Chad has the ability to use spiritual energy around him to encase his right arm in a super strong armour which allows him to hit even harder than he normally would, as well have the arm be virtually impervious to damage.

It's probably relevant to the game now to add that if he is around Ichigo Kurosaki a lot, his spirit energy is affected. Ichigo's is so powerful that it bolsters Chad's and makes his more powerful, as well.

OH, also? Chad can model til there's no tomorrow, just throwing that in there, and I guess that he can play bass guitar counts as a miscellaneous skill, too.

Robin's also an extremely good liar (*ignores season 3's retconning*) and has been known to use this ability (plus she's not afraid to use some of her better assets, if you know what I'm saying) to sneak in just about anywhere she wants.

She's also really good with animals.

And she used to be a pop star in Canada. I dunno if y'all got that. :D

Um yeah...I'm guessing "alien technology given powers" go here. Marco can touch an animal to absorb it's DNA and then "morph" into that animal for a limit of two hours. When in morph, Marco can use < thought speak > to "talk" to people. Through morphing, he can survive pretty much any near fatal injury. He also has the ability to keep talking even when it would have been better to shut up.
And he knows how to fly a few alien space ships. Well, "fly" is probably too nice a word. He knows how to generally steer them while not crashing too hard.

I am convinced Chuck has been genetically engineered to pick up women. He plays piano, has great taste in jewelry, has the ability to jet you off to Italy whenever he wants. Seriously. He can also rock any outfit you give him. And we think he can tell whenever you aren't wearing underwear. He also has a magic limo that makes whomever rides in it want to have sex with Chuck (that includes you, Dan Humphrey).

ETA: HE ALSO HAS THE ABILITY TO POINT OUT TRANNIES.

Kaylee's a mechanical Sue. Give her something to fix, and provided that she has the equipment to do so, she'll do it faster and probably better than the average mechanic. She says in canon that machines just "talk to her," which I don't think is the presence of any sort of supernatural ability as much as it's just Kaylee having a sixth sense for what might be wrong and how to repair it.

Hurley can kick your ass at ping pong. He has near professional player skills at the game.

Lois has the ability to get you put under government surveillance. True story. She can also pick locks and totally walk it off.

Aravis is an exceptionally good horsewoman, and not that I imagine this ever really coming up, but Calormenes are trained in the art of storytelling. So if you ever need someone to get their long-winded pretty words on, she's your girl.

Cal is actually moderately good in a good deal of the arts. Writing is up there, so is painting/drawing, but his real talent (if he applies himself) comes from acting.

It makes up for his utter lack in ability in any sport what-so-ever. All the training in the world isn't going to save him from throwing a punch like a girl.

Marshall wins every game he plays. For serious.

Evey is a budding explosives expert. She's very well-versed in things like fertilizer bombs and other fun things you could make using stuff around the house, but she's spent the last year and a half learning how to make things go boom.

In trying to think of anything to put for some of my very normal kidlets, Charlotte knows a ton about art and fashion. She was also a cheerleader. I'm sure that counts for something.

Pepper can run in four-inch heels.

I'm sorry, I count that as a skill.

Claire's got nothin', pretty much. She's a gifted photographer and multimedia artist and apparently a decent writer (thought it only comes up in canon a very few times). But unless you need a sarcastic remark, she is probably not who you want for a plot.

Canon says John can fly anything without training, and fly it really, really well. I say he'd never beat a Skywalker, but is impressive compared with average humans.

John is prone to getting stabbed, shot, and generally beat up. He heals amazingly quickly only to get stabbed, shot, or beat up again a week later. If you need someone for that, he's your guy.

More importantly, John's hair is semi-sentient. It also naturally looks that way, stop staring, Chuck.

Sookie is EXTREMELY good at keeping secrets. If you need someone to find something out and just sort of sit on it -- and she can 'overhear' things mentally -- she's your girl.

Also, she's been raised to be a good cook/hostess/homemaker. Now, what I mean by this is that she's the one who, when everyone's working their tails off in the library, will make some sandwiches and bring little baskets of food to everyone to make sure they're okay. And she'll bring napkins. And Cokes.

She also cleans like WHOA when she's stressed.

(Yes, I just commented twice because I forgot I'd stuck her in this category already. SHHHHH.)

Piper has excellent culinary skills, though she isn't formally trained.

Um... Peyton knows just about anything about music - indie, punk, classic, metal, etc, etc.

She also has experience as a DJ and in booking bands/running All Ages club nights.

She's also an incredible artist - if rather dark.

Lana's smart, good at organizing things (ran a coffee shop at the same time she was getting straight A's in school), and she's learned a small amount of martial arts. Not enough to be useful in any way at this point, but...

And, um, she's nice. And thoughtful and kind. High skill levels in all of those. ;)

Oh, and she has a taser.

Ronon's dreads are capable of eating your hair for breakfast. Trufax.

Sam can pick locks, forge signatures for fake IDs and credit cards, and can probably come up with a fake name in about the same time as it would take him to recall his real one.

Jess is a voracious reader, and has no trouble reading and summarizing things, even documents with big scary words.

He can also do basic magic tricks. Yes, really.

Jaina's an excellent pilot (Anakin is probably the only person who should be able to beat her right now though I don't know everyone's canons), and another one of the mechanical Sues.

Also, really good at lockpicking.

Brooke can make really pretty clothes. No, seriously, if you need any sort of outfit for anything, she'll totally make it.
