The Return of Power Swap Weekend
There's two kinds of people in this game: people with superpowers and people without. And since it's been a while since we've done this, we're going to make that Venn diagram a little more interesting with a little bit of POWER SWAP WEEKEND!
For those who weren't around or weren't paying attention back in November 2012, Power Swap Weekend is almost what it sounds like. People without superpowers? Could gain them! People with superpowers? Could lose them! And if you didn't sign up? Go unaffected!
It goes like this. If you play someone with powers and want to participate, you sign up in this post giving your character's name and at least one power you want them to lose for a weekend. That power (or powers, if you so choose) get taken away and put into an RNG Power Pool.
If you have someone without powers, you also sign up in this post and by the power of RNG gain a superpower. But this is a swap, so you also have to sign up with some kind of mundane skill or ability for your character to lose which will then end up in an RNG Skill Pool for the formerly powered people. All primary traits (power or skill) will go first before secondary traits start getting assigned. Each person gets ONE trait regardless of how many they lose. Make sense?
EXAMPLE: I sign Jessica (powered) up with webshooting and strength, James (powered) with superspeed, and Bruce (unpowered) with his ability to look great in any given suit and his ballroom dance training. RNG gives Bruce webs, Jess the suits, and James the ballroom dancing. Jess loses both powers (even though only one was picked), James loses his speed (even though it wasn't picked), and Bruce is looks disheveled in all suits and has no rhythm, but he gets webs, so that works out for him.
Ideally, you'll find ways to incorporate any of these powers or skills into your playing that weekend, whether it's because your character suddenly has to deal with havingwings, or because once they know they CAN tap dance, they can't bring themselves to stop.
The Power Swapping will happen the weekend of January 18-19. To give me plenty of time to RNG and send out assignments, signups will end approximately when I go to sleep the night of Wednesday, January 15th.
Questions? If not, then go ahead and sign up! Comments are screened, but any questions will of course be unscreened.

I HAVE POWERS and want to lose them
A BRIEF, ONE SENTENCE DESCRIPTION OF POWER:
OPTIONAL SECONDARY POWER(S):
Please be descriptive with your power(s) so that the person who gets it knows what they can do.

I HAVE QUESTIONS
Just to answer one right off the bat: If you're a Jedi and your power is "use the Force" and that allows you to do a bunch of crazy things, just choose your most common Force power, like telekinesis or the like.

Re: I HAVE QUESTIONS
Thanks for sticking with me while I talked that one out. Alana is unpowered. If we all practice hard enough, maybe we too can become skilled at having wings.

Okay, next question (sorry to be a bother!) -
Does a predilection for human flesh count as a tradable trait?

Re: I HAVE QUESTIONS
And if you fall asleep on Wednesday and someone happens to find your phone number and call you to wake you up, could someone perhaps sneak in a signup while you are confused and half awake reaching for the phone?
Asking that last one for, uh, for a friend >.>
Re: I HAVE QUESTIONS
And no. I'm a very deep sleeper and would definitely ignore the phone call.
