Mood Crystals
You know what we haven't had in a while? A mood-altering plot inspired by 1970's fads and influenced in part by Care Bears.
"But Nick," you say, "We've NEVER had a plot like that. Also, what the hell are you talking about?"
Oh. Well, there's no need to be rude about it. Because I'm just talking about mood crystals. What if the crystals in mood rings came from space and instead of changing colors based on your body temperature (which approximates your 'mood'), it changed your mood based on its color? And what if a large crystal fell from space, landed in the park, and shattered in an explosion of what I'm just going to call "mood magic." And even though it makes no physical sense whatsoever, small shards of these crystals mood-magically went flying into the stomachs of people all around Fandom and influenced their moods for four days?
That would be pretty weird, yeah? Well, it's also a thing that's happening. From Wednesday, May 21 through Saturday, May 24, these mood crystals will be affecting Fandomites (provided they sign up in the OCD below).
The crystals will be able to dictate four somewhat loosely-defined "moods" based on their colors, one color per each day (and no repeats!):
*Violet: Happy, loving, romantic, passionate
*Blue: Calm, relaxed, at ease
*Gray: Nervous, anxious
*Black: Angry, stressed, tense
How exactly your character will play with those general moods is up to you! With violet, are they just super chipper or are they ready for makeouts? If it's black, are they getting a headache or throwing punches? Do they try drinking all of the tea to calm their gray anxiousness? Do they keep napping because they're a little too in the blue? You decide!
(Please keep regular rules about public violence and/or adult situations in mind.)
The crystal on your character's stomach won't be huge, maybe an inch long by a half inch wide and just barely raised over the surface of the skin. They cannot be removed until overnight on Saturday when the magic runs out and they fall off, colorless and without any magic left. The glowing will be obvious if the stomach is exposed, but it will probably completely hidden if it's under clothes.
In game terms, which day each mood falls on is random per person. OOCly, you can either plan out your days on your own, or you can have me RNG what happens what day for your character. Maybe you want two people to get into an irrational fight, or maybe you want an excuse for a hookup. Coordinate as much as you want and let me know!
