Like it says in the headline, here's the place to drop your kid (and teenager) plans! These are due by Thursday, April 23rd, 11:59 PT. Comments are screened for maximum secrecy-surpriseyness!

The important details/rules:

* You will get one journal for your character's "family." Multiple children can be had but they must be in this one journal. If your "child" is with another character in the game you must share the journal with that character.

* Your character may have children with:

a) another character in the game
b) another character in your canon
c) with an anonymous person that you do not want to define or they can be reproduced asexually. (Hey. It could happen)
d) You may also have a child with an NPC character from another canon. HOWEVER, if that canon has any characters within the game, you must contact those people privately for permission.

* If your child is with another character in the game, please make sure you have their permission first before applying.

* Children can be between 3 and 17 years of age.

* The plot is open for students, townies, teachers, and alumni/expats alike.

* There is a cap of two children per character, but each child is only counted against one IG parent.

In other words:

Steve and Tony's players decide they should have two kids: "Tesla Rogers-Stark" and "Bucky Rhodey I Told You'd I'd Put It On the Certificate Don't Test Me Rogers-Stark". Since these kids are shared between two IG characters, each parent can take one of the kids towards their two kid total, leaving them each with one more slot to use. So now Steve can also have a kid with Bucky named "Sarah Winifred Barnes", and Tony can use his other slot to raise his and canon love interest Pepper Potts' kid, Peter Parker. Wait, no. Well, kind of.

We interrupt your anniversary festivities to bring you some fun for next weekend! That's right, fall's Three Minute Dates will take place Saturday, September 13!

At this stage in the game the number of rounds will depend entirely on the number of people who sign up. The more players sign up, the more variety in your dates! If you want to make sure you're not fake dating the same player a lot, convince your friends to sign up to widen the pool. This is open to anyone who's on island that weekend. Do you conveniently have an alumni who might show up for the weekend and get roped in? GOOD. Would your character absolutely not do this and be nowhere near Caritas on purpose? I guess it's time to get kidnapped by some Fandom wildlife to hang out at a bar for up to fifteen or so minutes, or something! Does your character not want a date but just wants to talk to people? Perfect! Are you in a committed, loving relationship? DON'T CARE! In fact you probably should meet friends outside of it to keep it healthy!

SO. If you'd like to participate, drop a screened comment below with your character's name (how you want them listed in the post), type (student/townie/teacher/alum) and date preference (if any) by Wednesday the 11th at midnight CST because my dumb ass made plans for the day I usually spend having fun/sobbing/having fun/sobbing over sign ups so I have to do it early!

And YES, but also, THREE MINUTE DATES! Which will happen Saturday, February 15, aka the last day of pollen. Mwahaha.

IMPORTANT: if for whatever reason you don't think your character would sign up for 3MD during pollen, the event will be ICly announced this week with (handwavily if you need it) signups through the week. Just in case you need them to innocently jot their name down before knowing what's happening.

If you think your signed-up character would try not to show up because of pollen, or they'd be too busy banging someone, Kitty WILL send out messages reminding people of their commitment, but ONLY if you need her to. Also I'll give permission for anyone to mod Tino into getting them to the bar however you want, again, only if needed.

your summer BDE announcement!

Hello, all! I passed a very loud back to school section in Target yesterday which means summer is winding down. To make sure we're all getting the most of it, from Tuesday, August 6 until Tuesday, August 12, Fandom is taking everybody on a road trip! Welcome to a very chill BDE!

That's right, the island is moving again, this time across the famed Route 66 (with a stop in West Virginia because you have to get to Route 66). Every day the island will move to a different state, with the scenery changing, and some of the location's affectations/traditions/places/popular things becoming part of Fandom for the day. You'll even be able to venture into the surrounding towns. At the end of the week we'll end in sunny California, where….

…Well, okay, a multiversal nexus moving across the country in this case awakens some things, and so giant road stop attractions will follow the island across the country the whole time. Think Paul Bunyan, Giant Santa Clauses, the world's largest fork, etc. They'll catch up in California, where the denizens of Fandom get to just have the most ridiculous fights. Once they're defeated, Fandom will zap itself back home safely.

I'll put up a post every night CST listing the next day's changes to the island, but I need your help! You all might know some of these places, so this is going to be a brainstorming post in case there's anything you want to add, or if there's a roadside attraction you think we need. (Of course the giant ball of twine is covered, who do you think I am?)

Hello! The list of I Never prompts is here!

From now until the end of Thursday, May 23, Irony will be trying to get people to do the following:

Things to remember:

-This is totally opt in. Irony can not MAKE your character do anything (unless you decide your character is waking up a teenage girl or whatever), it'll just line up circumstances so they can do it, or make them think it's a good idea. Whether your character actually does it is up to them!

-This can affect ANYONE ON THE ISLAND, not just people who were at the party.

-Irony will only try to make your character follow a prompt IF THEY HAVE NOT DONE IT BEFORE. If your character chooses to do something on the list that they've done before, or if they've been drunk off jello shots before but doing it again leads to them getting into a fight in the alley, then good hustle.

-Communication, communication, communication.

This starts first thing Friday morning, so have at it!

ooc: the return of final destination!

Getting this in pre-newbies because what a fun way to welcome them to the island.

HEY SO we haven't done Final Destination since 2018 so I figured we could bring it back. The original idea behind this was that much like Death in the Final Destination movies made damn well sure those kids weren't getting away un-killed, Irony was doing similar here (minus the log trucks and the dying).

Next Thursday, May 16, you are all cordially invited to Clint and Kitty's house for a low key party. Anyone can come even if you don't know them, maybe everyone brings a bottle of wine... which is probably how the night ends in an I Never game. And everything that comes up in the I Never game becomes a prompt that Irony will try to make anyone on island use until the end of Thursday, May 23. Want your character to do some things that would be completely OOC? Want a random hookup? Have you been secretly thinking Zoe needs to get mooned? All of those things will seem like the best idea all week!

The post will go up on Thursday, May 16, early for time zones, and then I'll post the list of I Nevers late that night/early Friday morning depending how much playing is getting done at that point, and as soon as it's up, have at it!

The only restrictions are, 1) no "I never murdered someone in this room" or anything like that because of course, 2) Irony will only influence people who have NEVER DONE THAT THING THAT IS BEING DONE. If somebody chooses to moon Zoe completely of their own free will, that's their own fault.

Hey all! If you've read like any meme I've pinged into you've known that I'm doing The Rise of Skywalker very soon, and I'm opening it up to anyone and everyone for help!

In the finale, when normal people in the galaxy come to help, the call will also go out to Fandom (and anyone who chooses to get it, really). If you'd like to show off some weapons skills by fighting stormtroopers, or you want to ride a space horse into battle, or you have a spaceship you want to fly, or have support skills you want to put to use, you can sign up in the post here to be included. This is open to anyone on island or off. Preplay will go up early next week and happen ICly the evening of Tuesday, August 30, and you can either be back for classes/work the next day or hang out on another planet on Wednesday.
