Paige can't heal Angel, so if she tries, it fails. She once helped heal Cole but it was two whitelighters working together, plus he's not a full demon.

A demon alchemist could transmute Angel's blood so that the poison doesn't affect him (or lessens the effect) per canon, but that involves a demon's help. :)
