Angel Plot: The UK Gang

Unlike V, I just went ahead and volunteered to head up the UK group plotty. I'm pushy like that.

1. On Sunday, the Gang in UK finds out about Angel being in Trouble.
2. Assuming that the Watcher's council has some sort of secret text that might have a cure, the gang goes hunting for the new uber-secret Watcher's HQ. Possibly located by Pippi's crystal ball and then we travel there by the knight's bus.
3. Figuring that they need an inside knowledge of the Watcher's council the gang finds someone who they think is an important member of the Council. Turns out to be Andrew. *facepalm*
4. The gang breaks into watcher's council while Blair and some students tries to distract the council by having PETUS (People for the Ethical Treatment of the Undead with Souls).
5. Then we break into the Watcher library where:
a. Anglea talks with the Ghost of a slayer
b. We find out some tidbit of a solution for the gang back home to try
c. We'll possibly drop by some Harry Potter places in order to try and find a solution as well

For #3 & #5a we are still waiting on Admin approval. Otherwise we'll just stage a break-in to the Watcher's Council.

ETA: We are good for a Andrew guest Starrage and Angela seeing a ghost!

[ooc: wait for the ocd threads are up!]

ETA: Administration for plot points have been approved!

Janet has given Pippi the idea that libraries are very dangerous places, and Library Wenches are like the coolest people to her next to Doctors and Policemen.

So if the Library Wenches and the rest of the B&E group are going to seperate, Pippi would volunteer to stay with them and be a lookout/body guard while they have their noses in the books.

In cannon she can be like all Solid Snake Style stealthy.

She just doesn't bother most of the time.

"Pippi. Pippi? PIPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

I could take a break from it if Pip wants to go Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2 style.

Cartwheel for us Pip.

:)

Oh look! A box!

*laugh* Parker knows Pippi's good with that, so she'd be happy to have her be look-out while she desperately tries to find the right book.

Mac's totally up for research-y things. Gives her a good excuse to immerse herself in the internet/books, and drink lots of coffee.

Plus; techno-whizz, so she can probably help sort out any pesky alarms when it comes to breaking and entering. ;)

heee, wicked. And I'm sure the New Watcher's Council will have many. Possibly designed by Willow.

Mac is like Willow 2.0, she totally has alarm-foo... maybe. She can read up on them and try anyway.

Hee. I'd love to see Mac take on Willow's kung-fu and maybe win, or at least race it to a draw before we get out of there.

Mac could SO take her. ;) No doubt or none that I'm willing to admit to anyway.

You know I'm in. *Yawn* Sorry I'm late signing on.

*is a library wench*

Er. *politely ogles library wenches, helps research*

*Buys scones and cream-horns for the library wenches, points out books that look familiar*

*doesn't recognise Andrew, repeatedly*

Heeeee!

I love that you wouldn't be in the right timeframe to recognize him, and he'd be all "Xander! Mes amis! Amigo!"

*takes scone, translates the stuff in other languages*

After much prompting, he might remember the flying monkeys...

Heh. And with 4 out of 5 Wenches there, we can zoom through the books until given that extra clue to find the right one.

You wanna know what's sad? One of my OTPs is Xander/Andrew.

*grin*

I'm not adamantly opposed to X/Andrew. It'd be hard to be without immense hypocrisy, since I'm a Xander/Spike shipper.

But Xandrew sounds so much better than Spander or Xike. :p

*nod* That ties into why I hate portmanteau pairing names, and tend to always use the initials and the slash, unless I'm being amused by just how silly a combo it's possible to come up with. ;-)

RIGHT! Things from HP that would work:

Phoenix Tears (nightmarishly expensive, one would assume)
wound-cleaning potion
Blood-Replenishing Potion
Arthur had to take a Blood-Replenishing Potion every hour until the Healers could find an antidote for the venom of the snake that bit him. Something in that venom was keeping the wound open and he was bleeding whenever they would remove the bandages (OP22)

And four books:
o Asiatic Anti-Venoms
o Common Magical Ailments and Afflictions
o Healer's Helpmate, The

Which Parker could send air-owl.

And Alanna was right:

bezoar
(PS8, GF22)
A shriveled, kidneylike "stone" (HBP18) that comes from the stomach of a goat, protects from most poisons (PS8)
Actually a bezoar isn't a stone per se, but a hairball that looks something like a stone; in legend bezoars are indeed supposed to have the properties attributed to them by JKR.

Living Death, Draught of

ingredients: asphodel in an infusion of wormwood (PS8); valerian roots, sopophorous bean (HBP9)

Effect: Causes someone to fall into a deep sleep.

* one of Snape's first three questions to Harry in first-year Potions (PS8)
* First potion brewed in Slughorn's sixth-year N.E.W.T. Potions class. Instructions for brewing this potion can be found in Advanced Potion-Making starting on page 10, but the textbook's uncorrected instructions do not cover the most effective way of squeezing the juice out of the sopophorous beans (crushing with the flat side of a silver dagger rather than cutting) and do not indicate that a clockwise stir should be added after every seventh counter-clockwise stir. While brewing, the potion releases blue steam. The ideal halfway stage should be of a blackcurrant colour (deep purple), although at a later stage if stirred properly the potion will turn a light shade of lilac (HBP9)

Of course Zero's in. She won't be as good at Getting Her Research On outside of a library she has a connection to, though, so maybe she should be in the straight B&E group. Though she forgot her crowbar.
