Curing the Vamp

I figured it'd be a good idea to pull together all the possible cure suggestions so we can brainstorm them into a coherent whole.

Here's what we've got so far:

1) Part of the cure will involve something the UK gang has to get from Knockturn and/or Diagon Alley (so Angel is not going to be completely better until the UK gang gets home later this week)

2) Bel will suggest the demon alchemist route but for whatever reason won't be able to get his hands on a demon alchemist. Al will somehow step in to do what he can.

3) Lana has access to a healing serum that Lex Luthor made out of Clark Kent's blood

4) Steal underpants

5) ???

6) Profit!

My brainstormy thoughts:

Both teams are going to find out that Slayer's blood cures Angel but that they have no access to such blood. So at that point I think the Fandom and UK teams would need to start brainstorming how they can MacGyver up something that they'll hope will be close enough for government work. Mix in #1-3 and maybe toss in a Halliwell spell over it to cover the bases maybe? Also, how will the teams know to bring all their pieces together?

I dunno.

Thoughts?

I bought that up, the spell is in the BoS comm.

Other people would be more easily cured than angel ofthe poison too wouldn't they?

There's also an antidote spell in the comm

We actually re-watched that episode yesterday and I think that would be a very bad way to go given the rather nasty side effects of the spell.

And here I'd heard you knew a lot about that...

Oooh, that would be cool. Do you know how much fun I could have with something like this? And I love the ideas everyone came up with while I went out to lunch with RL friends.

And also the potential of flipping out Natalie Lambert without realizing it wouldn't be fun either. Really.

Don't FK vamps actually have a heartbeat, though? Albeit a slow one. BtVS vamps don't; it's always stopped , except for the occasional momentary thump if they get a heavy shot of electricity.

You're not wrong. And yet. *giggling*

Once every ten minutes or so, right?

No, no Chosen Ones!

Well, actually, MacLeod's another Chosen One, darn him and his Scottish Boy Scouty ways.

MacLeod's player says, "He's willing to donate blood to a bag. He's not willing to have Angel sucking on him."

But what a visual that would be...

But why do you fear the library people? We're perfectly sweet and innocent. And harmless.

Really.

Xander could e-mail 'his' Buffy (he's already e-mailing his Willow, who'll help get them to Knockturn Alley), who'd happily donate blood, but I think I'm gonna save the hassle of coming up with a reason why that wouldn't work, by just having him think they couldn't get it in time.

Oooh, yeah - has Cal ever killed a... whatchamacallit Xena version of vamps? It's arguable that she could even have *been* a potential Slayer.

Excuse me while I gigglesnort my coffee remembering the "opening of Buffus the Bacchae Slayer across the street" line from a fourth-season X:WP ep.

Canonically, no she hasn't. But that doesn't rule out that she could have.

Oooh. *goes to mental happy place*

I did mention that she'd be making a lot of people very disappointed, but alas, she held strong.

*facepalm* Carry on....

That's right, I rmemeber that. Still. Some of it could still work, or it's a thing for Nat to try in the hopes of having it work.

I, ah, might have vast quantities of the series memorized still. Especially first season.

And yes, I think that'd be a good thing for Nat to try. Fun!

Yay! *buys popcorn in anticipation*

Well, since canonically she does end up killing a god it's as a valid an argument as any. Yes, I know that was after she ended up a goddess herself, shut up.

And if we get really desperate, Xena-verse Zeus and Ares are such man-whores it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that one of the two is in her family tree a half-dozen generations back, leaving her without nifty powers but still having funky blood.

I'm gonna be AFK around 8:00PMEST until whenever the Oscars end.

That is, to say, I'll be at a friend's place watching the Oscars, and I will have acess to a computer, but I won't be constantly watching the computer for updates.

Any sort of vague idea about when Alfred will be needed so I can come up for a reason to get in and do his magic?

Xena-verse Zeus and Ares are such man-whores

If I remember my classical mythology right, Myth!Zeus makes Xena!Zeus look like a nun. Myth!Zeus has had sex with pretty much almost everyone in Greece, Troy, and all the places in between.

He'd help out if asked.
