Curing the Vamp

I figured it'd be a good idea to pull together all the possible cure suggestions so we can brainstorm them into a coherent whole.

Here's what we've got so far:

1) Part of the cure will involve something the UK gang has to get from Knockturn and/or Diagon Alley (so Angel is not going to be completely better until the UK gang gets home later this week)

2) Bel will suggest the demon alchemist route but for whatever reason won't be able to get his hands on a demon alchemist. Al will somehow step in to do what he can.

3) Lana has access to a healing serum that Lex Luthor made out of Clark Kent's blood

4) Steal underpants

5) ???

6) Profit!

My brainstormy thoughts:

Both teams are going to find out that Slayer's blood cures Angel but that they have no access to such blood. So at that point I think the Fandom and UK teams would need to start brainstorming how they can MacGyver up something that they'll hope will be close enough for government work. Mix in #1-3 and maybe toss in a Halliwell spell over it to cover the bases maybe? Also, how will the teams know to bring all their pieces together?

I dunno.

Thoughts?

Can we try to sex you back to health?

Is there a particular element to a Slayer's blood? Get a minute sample of it and maybe Janet could isolate that particular element and synthesize it?

(Lalalala, ordinary high schooler here, lalalala. Pfft, right.)

Anyway, it wouldn't work ordinarily, I'd think, but if you toss in a Halliwell spell to cover the bases/add magic, it might give it the right about of supernatural oomph.

Dammit, too bad Anakin's not around, since he's a chosen one.

WAIT.

One could argue that The Charmed Ones are chosen ones...

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought that from the beginning, but I wasn't sure, it could be a last attempt type thing, plus the part whitelighter thing might help even more there right?

So we get blood from any one that's remotely 'chosen'?

Lana's a Chosen One too, if you go with the whole possession/stones theme they dealt with in season 4. ;)

Bad-assed chicks from other worlds who might qualify to be slayers if they were from this one? Like, say, Callisto and Aeryn.

Oooh, yeah - has Cal ever killed a... whatchamacallit Xena version of vamps? It's arguable that she could even have *been* a potential Slayer.

And here I'd heard you knew a lot about that...

Oooh, that would be cool. Do you know how much fun I could have with something like this? And I love the ideas everyone came up with while I went out to lunch with RL friends.

And also the potential of flipping out Natalie Lambert without realizing it wouldn't be fun either. Really.

Maybe the blood of a superstrong mutant girl thrown in for flavor?

If you want additional angst and a chance for Angel to be awake for awhile, there's a Po3 spell that will transfer the poison from Angel to a poppet (a little vampire doll, hee). Trouble is the poppet will come to life and start biting people in the ankle, giving them the poison. The only way to reverse it is to reverse the spell and put the poison back in Angel, woe!

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I bought that up, the spell is in the BoS comm.

Other people would be more easily cured than angel ofthe poison too wouldn't they?

There's also an antidote spell in the comm

We actually re-watched that episode yesterday and I think that would be a very bad way to go given the rather nasty side effects of the spell.

I'm gonna be AFK around 8:00PMEST until whenever the Oscars end.

That is, to say, I'll be at a friend's place watching the Oscars, and I will have acess to a computer, but I won't be constantly watching the computer for updates.

Any sort of vague idea about when Alfred will be needed so I can come up for a reason to get in and do his magic?

[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I just got back from them. If you need me, I'm here.

Whenever you guys need me, just give me a ping and I'll hop in where needed.

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
On that note, I don't think it's ever mentioned how Al will hop in, huh? As mentioned before, he'll probably be a little hesitant to agree to this, but I won't make him be super stubborn. If Bel comes up with the idea of a demon alchemist but can't find one, maybe he can sort of remember, 'oh hey, the Elrics' or whatever. He does know Al from the BC meetings, and it's no secret that he can do alchemy (since I know some characters here and there have brought it up in random conversation), so perhaps Bel or whomever wishes to approach him come up with the idea? Just throwing out ideas.

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Anders knows what's going on now too, and he knows both Angel and Al, so that's an option . . .

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
That works too. It'd probably work out more ICly, too, since Al would probably feel more comfortable if it was someone he was familiar with rather than someone he sort-of knows. If Anders can come along and ask, that'd work out great.

[identity profile] marsheadtilt.livejournal.com 2006-03-06 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yay for Anders not being completely in the dark for a change :)
