Play Plotting!

So, we want to make this production of MSND as cracktastic as possible, yes? So, a few of us have been tossing around ideas, and the brainstorming has yielded the following.

(And please thank the brilliant minds behind [livejournal.com profile] mparker17 and [livejournal.com profile] game_of_you for this bit of crack - I'm just the medium.)

The general thought is: What if fairies possessed the play?

Long version:

So, we're doing a very modern production, what with the rock opera aspect and the costuming and what have you.

Given the nature of Fandom, it's natural to assume that there are fairies around. Possibly minions of the real Titania and Oberon. Who hear about the way we're doing it, with the ninja and the pirate and what have you, and basically go, "Oh hell no."

And with that, they come to Fandom, and take over the production - the day of the play.

We're thinking it will be a conscious possession - ie, your character will be able to argue with the fairy within them. And what the fairy makes your character do? Entirely up to you.

The fairies will all take hold just before curtain rises, and will be expelled around when the actors take their final bows. And no, we don't know how we're getting rid of them. If all else fails, we're relying on fairy restlessness - ie, they got bored and went away.

To Oberon, Titania, and your courts:

You can opt not to be possessed, though please contact me, Cordy, or Dream in that case so that alternate arrangements can be made.

A note to the mechanicals/lovers/Theseus and co/our new additions (drunken pirate, kickass ninja, etc.):

You are a bit more optional, since your characters aren't magical in nature (Bottom, I'm excluding you omg). The excuse behind your possession would be, essentially, "Some extra fairies got bored."

SO! Thoughts? Questions? Cookies?
