Upcoming plot

I posted about this before the new crop of students, and now I'm trying to get things organized to get this plot off the ground. If any of you new students have a decidedly dead person in your history that you have Issues with a capital I about, let me know! Ideally, this should be someone who would, if you saw them, prompt a deep emotional reaction, preferably a negative emotion (such as anger/fear/guilt/hatred/grief).

I can't promise to use every suggestion, but I will be doing my best to involve as many different people as I can. More details as they develop. :)

ETA: And if you don't mind, let me know if your character has the ability to sense ghosts -- I don't mean saw an apparition that everyone else saw as well, but more of an ability to see what others can't.

Robert Paulson. (The Meat Loaf character in Fight CLub.) Tyler feels deeply responsible for his death.

[identity profile] mildly-super.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Well Clark and Tim's respective fathers are both dead, Tim does not remember his father's death so that could be traumatic, plus Tim has a friend who's a banshee, who is a dead girl who's destined to sing at his death. Dunno if that counts.

Catherine Parker. Tons of grief there.

[identity profile] psi16.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Alfred Bester. Lyta died trying to kill him. He finally died of old age in prison. Ironic much?

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Alex Whitman. Lots of guilt and grief there.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
The White Witch for Peter. Absolute hatred and fear.

Patty Halliwell? Lots of grief and confusion there

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Would you like me to re-send you information about Pippi's mother?

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Trisha Elric, Al's mom. Lotsa grief and even more guilt with the whole failing-to-revive-her bit. And if we want headmessy, there is her becoming a homunculous part, if the ghosts/spirits are gonna 'mention' stuff, since he doesn't remember that much.

[identity profile] grand-fallguy.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
now that I think about it, Tim's dad would be great for that, I can send you the details if you wish.

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Bridge would be able to sense them, yep! No dead people in his history though because the writers gave my poor boy NO BACKSTORY AT ALL.

[identity profile] emo-padawan.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Anakin can see ghosts, whee :)

Sadly, his Totally Traumatic Deaths don't happen for a couple of years in his timeline.

For which villages of Tuskan Raiders are grateful, of course.

[identity profile] union-jane.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Seras' mother and father. They aren't given names in canon, but for FH purposes, I've named them Andrew and Nancy. Lots of guilt and grief attached to their deaths.

[identity profile] upforachase.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Allen Francis Doyle. Definite grief there.

[identity profile] saltandammo.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Mary Winchester. (Dean and Sam's mother) Huge grief; in a lot of ways her death kinda marked Dean's loss of innocence. Definitely marked loss of a normal life.

Dean can't sense ghosts per se, but he's trained to pick up the more subtle signs (smell of ozone, change in temperature, etc.) and has or can build devices to test for them.

[identity profile] threeweapons.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Faithful can sense ghosts. He still doesn't care though and I try to avoid using him for plots unless absolutely necessary.

Alanna has her not-so-dearly dead father make an appearance. There's a lot of conflict and issues there. Also, the T guy who's name I *still* have not looked up. Wait! Big Thor! OMG crazy memory you spit out the most random junk at the most random time. Yeah, that dude. Alanna killed him because he was dying and he was sort of her mentor and yes, Issues.

Briar and Broots don't have anyone majorly dead that will cause them grief.

I'm going to bed, really.

[identity profile] ihatedenmark.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hamlet can definitely see & talk with his Father's ghost when no one else can, and likely other ghosts too.

And Hamlet's Dad would raise big Issues for him, yesh. That's what the whole plot of the play's about. ^-^

[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Lana's parents who were killed in front of her when she was 3 or 4 and her boyfriend, Whitney, who was KIA after she broke up with him - she feels incredibly guilty that he died thinking she didn't care.

[identity profile] pure-blooddraco.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Dumbledore would definitely be a big one for Draco. Lots of fear and anger go with that one.

ETA: Oh! And wizards/witches in Harry Potter-verse can see ghosts.

[identity profile] multi-madrox.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Any particular timeline this will be put in place?

[identity profile] apocalypsesoon.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I would say Sarah Connor (IF THE FREAKIN' MUN WOULD SIGNIFY IF SHE'S DEAD OR JUST ABANDONED HER POOOOOOOR SON) or Reese, his father in futureabsentia for John.

Zoe's still in for this (with Wash), just so you know. :)

[identity profile] rup-giles.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. Giles's biggest Issue would have been with Jenny Calendar. However, here in Fandom, she's up and walking about. Alive even. :)

Coming in second, however, is the friend who died whilst Giles was mucking around with Eyghon thing, Randall, and Phillip, who died as a result twenty years after the fact (Season 2, "The Dark Age").

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Dawn: Huge grief issues with Joyce Summers, Tara or Spike

Sam: Either of her parents (although Jacob is definitely the more recent death), any of her past significant others...

Neither one can sense ghosts.
nadiathesaint: (ooc 2)

[personal profile] nadiathesaint 2006-06-14 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
If the plot happens after WriterCon, Nadia will have the nice fresh guilt of having shot a guy named Roberto Fox in the chest several times in a fit of rage. . . .

But if you go with before that, I got nothing. ;D

[identity profile] joxertehmighty.livejournal.com 2006-06-15 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ahem.

I propose seeing the ghost of Joxer.

Because at this point in history? Joxer's dead. Oh yes.
multiplez: (OOC OTP of wrong)

[personal profile] multiplez 2006-06-15 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Miho could be haunted by any variety of people, depending on at what point in time this plot happens. Something might be happening in Basin City in a week or so that would up her personal ghost quotient...

At the moment, though, Becky and I were talking about Ava, I think?
