On January 20th-21st, Jamie is going to get a hold of a shard from the M'Kraan crystal. Bumbling with said crystal shard occurs.

The result?

Wacky Hijinks baby.

IT'S ALTERNATE UNIVERSE WEEKEND AT FANDOMHIGH!

For one weekend only (January 20th-21st), your character will be transformed into a different version of him or herself as a result of Jamie's bumbling.

Alt-U characters can be any of the following:
An alternate universe version of your own character that occured in the character's fandom
(Ex. Buffy-> Wishverse!Buffy)
A different role that the actor who portrays your character has taken
(Ex. Marty Blank -> Lloyd Dobler
Pippi Longstocking -> Fashion Model)
An alternate character that is based on your character or your character is based on.
(Ex. Hamlet -> Simba from the lion king)
An actor who has portrayed the character before or after your current actor
(Ex. Hamlet -> Mel Gibson!Hamlet)

The other suggestion I have for those characters who do not have an alternate universe to draw from is to do a play on their names.

Examples:
Walter Dornez -> Walter Mitty
Thursday Next -> Wednesday Addams
Zero Hopeless-Savage -> "My Hero Zero" from School House Rock. (Until he came along we counted on our fingers and toes)

If none of the above does not work for you, you also have the option to think your characters are either from the wrong universe or the godawful Mary Sue steroptypes of themselves that show up in fanfic.

If you are really struggling to find a character to turn into? Ping me and I'll try to help you out.

If you don't want to change your character? That's fine too. You might have more fun going "WTF?" over the changes in everyone.

When Jamie's bumbling has been corrected and FH returns to "Normal", your character will remember everything that your alternate self has done. If you choose to play an evil version of yourself for this weekend it will require admin approval.

Options, options, options. . . .

1. AU that occurred in the fandom: er. Does Ghost!Nadia count? I don't think I have one of those.

2. A different role the actor plays: drowned cruise stow-away, Argentine mob moll tangoist, Che Guavera's girlfriend, Frida's sister, kidnapping victim . . . not much different than Nadia IG already.

3. An alternate character that your character is based on or is based on your character: None that I can think of.

4. An actor who has played your character before or after your actor: Amy Acker originally auditioned to play Nadia. Would that count?

5. A play on names: power ranger, Mexican wrestler, candidate for presidency, or barely mentioned girlfriend of a castaway.

. . .

Nadia might just have to stay normal that weekend.

Personally? I like the idea of Nadia turning into a wrestler.

I'd have to say no on the Amy Acker version of Nadia unless she appeared on the show as Nadia.
