Looking for mini-plot volunteers: a snapshot of your character's past
*is slightly nervous since is first post here* *breathes in* *goes*
What is it?
Liir's magic, untrained as it is, tends to pick up on memory (for reasons I'll probably end up going into in a notes post soon). In people, places, things... you name it. That said, he's made a point of ignoring it most of the time since 1. he thinks it's the pathetic nonsense of a lonely childhood and 2. it's not (to his mind) useful. That said, as he's working on an invention for Inventiontronics that has everything to do with memory, this little part of his brain is sort of getting stimulated anyway. As such, I'd like him to start picking up memories in his sleep, much as he did in canon.
Where do I come in?
I'd like volunteers who'd be willing to provide snapshots of memory. It doesn't have to be big or revealing; in fact, if it's a common place action that your character would do all the time (cleaning their guns, feeding their cat, practicing in the gym, cooking) that's fine too since that kind of activity would be something the place itself remembered. These can be Fandom-related or canon-related memories. Really, anything you'd like. The 'snapshot' would be just that; he won't be getting a full on movie or anything; more like a screenshot or a youtube clip: short. There's also no need for the pup to blatantly identify themselves; he won't be playing 'match the memory to the face' or anything, at least not on purpose.
You can also provide as MANY as you like. It's not something he can control in any sense of the word. I'm also happy (if you'd like) to use this to give a pup information they've lost/don't want to deal with/etc. While this is mostly to poke at Liir's brain, I'm totally up for anyone using this plot towards their own character building/plot. Comment, IM or email me (gamenotifications @ gmail . com) if you'd like to cook something specific up.
So how does this work?
With the regularity determined by how many volunteers I get, I'll put up a post in Liir's journal every once in a while/few nights/however it works out marked for this plot, with a link to this post (for reference). That night, whoever would like to contribute would ping the post with whatever snapshot they'd like to contribute. While I'm not going to ask that there be only one contribution per night, I would prefer that they get spread out; so if you see two or three contributions already (wow, I'm so already assuming people will want to do this!) then perhaps wait another night. Just a few things:
So I'm interested. What do I do now?
Tag this post to give me a rough estimate of how many people I'd be dealing with. Feel free to include a rough sketch of what you're planning, if you'd like to use this for your own personal plotting, or anything else as you like. Comments are not screened, but the email is gamenotifications @ gmail . com if you'd like to drop me a line privately and my IM (ashurbadaktu) is almost always on.
If there's anything I've forgotten, oh modly ones, or if there's any other questions from anyone, you're welcome to tag/email/IM me with them at your leisure.

Just a few things:
- Liir will remember these snapshots. Don't put anything in there that you as the mun wouldn't want him to know. He won't be blabbing about it, of course, because he just thinks he's insane but please don't put anything in there that you really don't want known. This is to be fun, not something that will cause you undue stress later.
- Put whatever you want there, as horrible or as happy or whatever. Gifts are not always kind and he's bound to pick up something unpleasant; it happens. Part of the fun of role playing is seeing how something will hit a pup and both I and the pup are up for things that aren't necessarily sunshine and roses. Just make sure it's something YOU'RE comfortable with. And make sure to put warnings in the subject header if they're necessary.
- Make the description as detailed or not detailed as you like. Memory is a very subjective thing. The most important thing might be the smell in the room, or the feel of a sword in the hands, or it might even be the play of dust motes in the sunlight through a window. These aren't to provide me, or the pup, with information. Memories are what they are and they are very often incomplete. It's part of the fun.
- Please make sure only to use memories that involve your character. If you're going to do something that has more than your character involved, make sure to get permission from the other mun(s) as to whether they can appear in the snapshot. Even if the event already happened, using something that involves more than just your character without permission is spilling someone else's secrets and isn't anything I'd like to happen.
