BDE: Nemesis!

Nemesis Plot Info Post:

From September 18th - 21st, Fandom High will be seeing a new bunch of visitors to the island.

Nope. Not Family. Or Robots. Or dinosaurs.

It's your own worst enemy. (Unless your family, robots or dinosaurs are your worst enemy.)

How does that work? Well, elsewhere in the universe there is a parallel version of Fandom. One that is darker. Eviller. Like Fandom, their island is a small one with their own school (Nemesis Academy) and town except... y'know. EVIL. They know about Fandom and they want its oh-so-delicious steampunk technology and magical squirrels for their own nefarious needs.

As it so happens, this parallel island, aka "Nemesis Island," also has evil/darker opponents to our characters here in Fandom. In the course of the plot, various characters will face off against their evil counterpart either in a random encounter or in a tournament setting for what will hopefully be a good time for everyone.

Players will be allowed to pick their "Nemesis" character from either their canon or from another Fandom if they so wish. For example:

Canon Choice Examples:

* Rory may choose Paris Gellar to be her character to face off against.
* Cable may choose to have Stryfe be his character to face off against.


Different Fandom Choice:

* Deadpool could choose Slade Wilson aka The Terminator from DC Comics
* Worf could face an alien from the Predator movies.
* The Fandom Squirrels could face off against the Nemesis Chipmunks. #$@%ing Chipmunks.


A sign-up post will be going up shortly for everyone to sign up for their choice of enemies for them to face and must be approved by the administrators. If you decide to choose an enemy from a fandom present in our game, please make sure to check with the players in that fandom to make sure it is okay with them first. If you are looking to have a violent or heavy duty plot occur during this BDE, please make sure you submit it to the administrators for their approval. You can either write the opponent yourself, or recruit/draft/bribe someone else into writing him or her for you.

No original characters are allowed as a nemesis for your character.

During the plot you will have two options for how to have your character and his or her enemy interact:

Random Encounter: All approved nemesis characters will have encounters with the corresponding player characters in three days of chaos and insanity that will send the squirrels' minds a-spinning.

The Tournament: This is pretty much like it sounds. Players can apply to have their character face off against his or her nemesis in a "battle" of their choosing. And when I say battle I don't necessarily mean a fight scene where the two characters pound away and shoot each other. (Which yes probably will happen but...) For example:

* Ned could face off against Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd in a baking competition.
* Turtle could face off against a teenaged Gordon Gekko from Wall Street in a day-trading competition
* Rikku could face off against Greed from Soulcaliber in trying to steal a certain item from a bank or Fortress.


The more imaginative your "tournament challenge," the more likely you'll have a chance to participate. There are limited slots, and only a few will go to conventional physical fights. While we might all like to have our characters walk away winners, for the purpose of the plot we'll need people also willing to lose their battles. Tournament participants will be chosen primarily based on plotty needs and the potential drama of the battle. If we get too many good applicants for the tournament, we will draw names out of the hat to decide who participates.

And of course because this is a Big Damn Event, it also means that there will be a Research Team and a Special Task force that will eventually help us save the day!

More details regarding the event will be revealed as we get closer to the 18th, but in the meantime we have OCD threads below to help us get this sucker started:

I need a nemesis! Michael has a few enemies, scattered through canon, but they all end up dead fairly quickly.

I'm also willing to be a nemesis, if anyone wants one I know how to play.

Couple of things:

- If someone would like to play a Dan Humphrey to go against Chuck I would be soooooooo happy. Clearly, Chuck and Dan's acceptances to Fandom High and Nemesis Academy were switched in the mail.

- I cannot think of anything for Lois but then again it's probably really obvious but I can't see it because I haven't had food yet.

- I think Lily and Marshall should go against an evil couple. Like Boris and Natasha.

- Annnnnd I can play a nemesis as I'll be around all weekend save for a dinner or two and possibly watching my sister get a tattoo if she doesn't chicken out (yes, she has to plan this far ahead). My fandoms: BtVS, Arrested Development, Harry Potter, Supernatural, Scrubs, Psych, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Indiana Jones, HIMYM, Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, Red vs Blue, Charmed, 30 Rock and the Batman movies. Also I've seen a ton of movies so you can try asking me if I've seen such and such and I can tell you if I can play the character.

But I could probably play a nemesis for someone in: Bones, Heroes, Supernatural, Buffy, HIMYM, Torchwood, and probably other ones that I'm forgetting.

I think Ned should face off against some fandom's actual incarnation of Death. (Closest to an evil-ish death I can think of is Grim from Billy & Mandy) In an "I'm not touching you!" contest.

Francine.... has no nemesis. At least not in her own canon, and I'm drawing a blank on any other-canon concepts, though feel free to suggest them.

I am sucktastic at multi-tasking, but I could pull off playing one nemesis for somebody else, probably. Fandoms include BtVS/Angel, oldskool flavor Who, Strangers in Paradise, Neverwhere, a zillion book fandoms, and other things I'm forgetting because it's Sunday and I'm warm and sleepy.

Since Dick has the two strikes against him in that 1) all of the nemeses in the cartoon are Batman's (aside from Tony Zucco, who is years away from being relevant) and 2) he's playing the secret identity thing so close to the chest.

So I think it's best to go all Teen Titans here and ask if anyone thinks they can pull off Roy Harper (Speedy, Green Arrow's sidekick) (http://dcanimated.wikia.com/wiki/Speedy). Sure, he's not evil or anything, but still: rival sidekicks for billionaire crimefighters, both with secret identities. It's GOLD.

I can give nemeses! I can (obviously) do HIMYM, Narnia, Gilmore Girls, V for Vendetta, Firefly, Gossip Girl, Bones, VMars, Star Wars (limited omg), Harry Potter, Pushing Daisies, due South, Scrubs, Corner Gas, Greek, Weeds, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, and...assorted others that I'm kinda blanking on. I mean, see goodgirlmeg's comment re: watching too many movies. I also read a lot. I can take requests, yo.

Also, if someone wants to give Victoria from HIMYM a shot, that would be appreciated. :D :D :D Not that ANYONE HERE is still feeling a grudge from two years ago.

The only nemesis I can think of for Summer is Taylor Townsend (the season three version), which would be hilarious. If anyone is willing to play her for me, I would be grateful. :D

Let's see:

-Lee's nemesis should be a really tall dude. Or his dad. Or...hmmm, mebbe his brother. I dunno! Or even Tom Zarek.

-Someone suggested Snidely Whiplash for Fraser. I was even in Hamburglar land at points today.

-There are TONS of ideas for Ned out there. Poor, poor Ned. Still haven't decided though.

Oh man, I could totally go for a Veronica Bouedaues. :D

I can also manage one or two nemeseseseses in Power Rangers, Charmed, Star Wars (original trilogy chronology onwards), Buffy, Chronicles of Narnia, any Tiny Toons or Animaniacs nemeses people might want, Xena, Final Fantasy X, X-2, and Kingdom Hearts . . . um. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Feel free to poke me and ask if I know a canon!

Also, I can play one or two nemeses (depending on how busy the girls are) from Buffy/Angel, Firefly, Stargate SG-1 (not SGA, sadly), Gilmore Girls, Bones, Heroes, HIMYM, Torchwood (except for the end of last season), Supernatural, lots of books, the Princess Bridge and other movies, and others I can't think of right now.

I'm having trouble coming up with a nemesis for Naomi and Liz, but I love the idea of Andros facing off Darkonda.

Fandoms that I could manage to play a nemesis: Power Rangers, Heroes, Star Trek, Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Star Wars.

I have a couple of ideas for Alec already, but Bumblebee I am totally unsure on! Bumblebee from Transformers: Animated in a race maybe? Evil Bumblebee from AU in a flat out robot fight? Starscream again?
