Character Ability Tally!! (because the memes weren't eating your afternoon enough)

WATCH ME SHAMELESSLY USE THE SAME POST AGAIN.

(I wrote it. I'm allowed to cannibalize it. Hush.)

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon1 power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to do this!

(And naturally, there will be threads, so please wait for the rather long OCD or I will have to kill something Done! Have at it.)

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

2 For those of you who had characters around the last couple years and just want to C&P what you put in the post then, here are some shiny links for you.

I'm gonna go ahead and stick Ned's power here since it seems like he was born with it and just didn't discover it till later in his childhood.

Ned can bring dead people back to life with one touch. This power has a few strings attached:

1) The person can only be brought back for sixty seconds before Ned has to touch them again and re-kill them
2) Once he touches someone who he brought back to life, they will be dead forever.
3) If he fails to touch the person he brought back to life within sixty seconds, someone or something of a similar life value has to die.
4) He can never touch someone he's brought back to life or he'll kill them permanently.

fjkdsahfkdehfjkehjakfhdjsakFHDJkfhdjHF JKDshf kdljH FJKDSf OKAY LET ME START WITH THIS ONE FIRST TO GET MY KEYSMASHY OUT OF THE WAY.

Thanks to years of Kryptonite exposure and the fact that her mother was also a krypto-freak, Chloe has developed an ability which the writers refer to as super empathy. If Chloe touches someone who's injured, she can transfer their injury to herself, leaving them completely healed. Then, she can heal herself and the injuries she transferred relatively quickly. If she touches someone who died, she brings them back to life, but dies herself. The more she does this, the longer she stays dead though, so it's something she's only willing to use if it's absolutely necessary.

Cable is a telepath and a telekinetic. His parents were mutants, it happens.

His telepathy is working on all fronts, he's in perfect control of it and generally only uses it when necessary; he can mindwipe with it, screw with your head, the works, but only if given reason to. His telekinesis is linked to the techno-organic disease in his body: he can manage feats of telekinesis well enough, but pushing it too far completely fucks up his body.

In other words, he avoids that bit.

Johnny's primary power is the ability to envelop his entire body in fire without harm to himself, in which form he is able to fly and to generate powerful streams and/or balls of fire. He can also manipulate his flame into any shape. Even when not engulfed in flame himself, he has the ability to control any fire within his immediate range of vision, causing it to increase or decrease in intensity or to move in a pattern directed by his thoughts. He is also able to absorb fire into his body with no detrimental effects.

He is able to fly in excess of the speed of sound. The plasma field immediately surrounding his body is sufficiently hot to vaporize projectiles that approach him, including but not limited to bullets. He does not generally extend this flame beyond a few inches from his skin, so as not to ignite objects (or persons) in proximity to him. Johnny refers to his maximum flame output as his "Nova Flame," which is released omni-directionally and can reach 1,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit. He can also direct beams of "Nova Heat" as an offensive weapon for very brief periods of time before his energy reserves give out. Johnny has a high degree of control over his powers. He can hold a person while in his flame form without the person feeling the slightest bit of heat.

When some DNA from Wolverine and cancer love each other VERY much, they get a healing factor like Deadpool's.

Enhanced speed and strength to a level just above that of a human in peak physical condition. (Like Captain America)

After being bitten by a genetically altered spider, Peter gained the proportionate strength, speed, and agility of a spider. In practical terms, he can move/run/dodge very quickly, jump very high, and bench about 7 tons if he really pushed himself. Additionally, he can cling to most surfaces, allowing him to climb and hang from walls and ceilings. And he has a sixth sense that alerts him to danger. The closer and more dangerous it is, the stronger a tingle in the back on his head is.

Okay -- the hyper peppiness? The crazy fangirl-ness? All hers. What the white light did to her? She now has a transformation sequence that provides her with a change of clothing (with leotard! no naked!!) that allows her to fly - it's in the shoes, apparently? She also has increased strength and dexterity, more than her age and body type would suggest but not excessive. She can survive outer-space and re-entry into the atmosphere with no spacesuit, a la superman. She can somewhat see auras (see 'psychic' thread), and has a yo-yo as a weapon (see 'weapons' thread).

Z can create copies of herself, called 'replicates.' Canon is kind of fuzzy on how exactly this works, so I've kind of had to make up my own rules. Replicates can be either solid or insubstantial holograms--the second kind are easier to maintain--and are not quite autonomous, in that there is a sort of mental link back to the original Z. She cannot control them through this link, although they all think like her and won't rebel or anything anyway, but if she gets a certain physical distance from her replicate or falls asleep or unconscious, the link is severed and the replicate disappears. When Z reabsorbs a replicate she also gains all its knowledge and memories. When she creates or absorbs a replicate her eyes briefly glow yellow.

Jean-Paul can move at ridiculously high speeds (well above the speed of sound), fly, and create a burst of superbright light from his body. He also has equilibrium, balance, and agility well above human norms, to enable him to move and react at such high speeds, in addition to incredibly tough skin (because windburn at Mach 10 would be a bitch). He also has a revved-up metabolism because of the whole superspeed thing, which can be a weakness as he needs to eat kind of a lot on a regular basis, and certain substances like caffeine or too much sugar can mess him up.

Also, Jean-Paul can fly faster than his twin sister, Jeanne-Marie, but she can fly farther, meaning JP doesn't have much stamina. *has a dirty mind*

Peter can copy the abilities of those who have abilities. I try to keep his wiki page (http://fandomhigh.arborum.net/index.php/Peter_Petrelli#Peter.27s_Powers) updated with what he has.

Nathan has the ability to fly fast enough to break the sound barrier. He can also do this while sustaining no damage from the cold or the wind because OH MY GOD LOOK OVER THERE A FUZZY TIGER!

He's also flown from NYC to DC, as well as to Texas while carrying a passenger, who likewise didn't sustain damage. We do not ask ourselves how this is possible, we just remain grateful for the times Pasdar does this while shirtless.

Warren's special abilities are embedded in his DNA, so sure, we'll call them mutations. He got them from mommy and daddy, after all.

Warren is a tough cookie. He can take a beating that would kill most people, and he can laugh it off. Sky High doesn't show where the exact limit to this ability is, but for a point of reference, he does fly backwards through a wall, smash through a pillar of solid concrete, and then pull himself up and stalk back into the cafeteria to continue fighting the kid that threw him there. So it's safe to say that he probably isn't bulletproof, but he's stupidly resilient.

And, the power that's far more obvious- Warren can light himself on fire. He can control how much of his body burns, how hot it burns, and he can shut the fire off just as easily. He can throw fireballs with his hands (the science of which makes my head hurt, so we just kind of go with it), though he often gets careless with them, which may result in things lighting on fire that weren't supposed to. His flames don't let him fly or anything of the sort, but they do come in handy when there are candles that need to be lit or stupid kids who need to be beaten up.

An important point to keep in mind with Warren's flames, however- they'll only burn so long as there's air around him. Trap him in a vacuum, and you end up with a snuffed-out Warren, and then a dead Warren, as the poor boy still needs to breathe, dangit.
