Character Abilities Tally

Guess who gets to steal another post from Erin?

(Hint: It's me)

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

1 In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

If your character is familiar with any sort of weapon.

Please reply with a detailed explanation of which weapon/s your character is comfortable with and their skill level/s.

Robin's an extremely good by normal standards/not bad by Fandom standards shot with semiautomatic handguns. She's been using them since she was in her early teens, if not a little earlier than that. She has experience both with her own small semiautomatic, as well as Fraser's .38 RCMP issue.

Harvey is pretty average with a gun. But he knows enough to shoot Batman and threaten Commissioner Gordon.

Alanna likes swords, though now she has a new, non-magical sword. She's still one of the best with it.
Daggers: She can use them (throw, stab, chop) but she'll prefer not to.
Axe: She can use it, and she's getting good.
Crossbow/bolt: She can use them, her aim is good but not awesome.

Lois is pretty good with all sorts of guns, thanks to growing up in the army. She can also use bats and knives with skill.

Romeo is incredibly comfortable around handguns and is a very good shot.

Aravis is fairly skilled with a scimitar, though she is still learning to control it. While she's used to the weight and feel of her own weapon, she could probably pick up any sword (given that she COULD pick it up) and learn her way around it as well.

Emmett doesn't really need to use guns but he'd be a pretty good shot thanks to his inherent skills as a vampire. The same goes for a bow and arrow. He'd really rather just use his bare hands.

Naomi is familiar with a Starfleet type 2 phaser, which she has for self-defense purposes. A phaser has 16 levels, with 1 being stun and 16 being capable of cutting through rock and vaporizing someone. Level 7 is capable of killing a human. Naomi mainly has her phaser on stun, which is required of Starfleet phasers and she only trains with it on the lower levels (she feels comfortable using it up to level 5).

Marshall knows how to use a gun, thanks to Robin. Not very good though.

OH OH! He can use a sword too!

Evey knows a little about knives. She's nowhere near good enough to, say, throw them and take out an entire police squad, but she's getting to where she could pretty well defend herself using one.

Sarah's an expert in guns and knives. Her first choice is throwing knives, but she's a sniper-level shot and really doesn't miss.

Dick has been to the gun range a lot with his father and is a pretty decent shot.

Meg's shot a gun before but she'd really rather not.

Marion is a decent shot with a gun, though she might have trouble with newer models.

And she can kick ass with a frying pan.

John has Fandom training with a variety of guns. He has particular experience using magically modified handguns thanks to Rikku.

Andros is familiar with energy blasters (particular the astro blaster that he has as part of his being a ranger) and his spiral saber, he has trained extensively with both and is very comfortable with using them when needed.

Turtle had been doing a ton of training with a standard guns, especially pistols. She's gotten fairly good, too, although she really, really, really hates to use them.

Piper has some knife skills (particularly athames) in canon, though she is not nearly as skilled as others are.

Putting Helen's arm in here too as god only knows where it should fit.

Her right arm can be turned into pretty much anything - animate or inanimate. In the book she once turned it into a copy of a weird totem pole with vicious heads biting at each other till they drew blood. And of course, as the living blade - which looks like a bar of light - she can cut through the barriers to worlds and kill any demon of any size or level.

I'm also presuming her to have a fair degree of skill with weapons (blades and guns, particularly) as the 'priests' of her world were a mix of religious/scholars/ top soldiers and she was trained very thoroughly by them.

Ronon's more than capable using all sorts of guns, explosives, knives, and swords. His personal energy pistol is his weapon of choice with its ability to be set to stun or kill. He takes advantage of that stun setting, yes he does.

Daisy has been trained in all police-issued fire-arms. She's fairly good, too, as long as she can focus on what she's doing. She doesn't have that much field experience in using them, however.

Guns: Dinah knows the basics of guns, but isn't comfortable with them. She'll need to get better at this.

Boomerangs: She's actually decent with standard boomerangs, but the kinds the Bat-clan use are too hi-tech for her to use well.

Eskrima/sticks/staffs/nunchuks: Dinah's gotten quite good with both practice and real (bladed, heavier) eskrima sticks over the last year. She's practiced with staffs and nunchuks, but she's a lot better with the eskrima.

No sword or knife experience, except on how *not* to get stabbed when facing someone holding a blade.

Minsc is extremely skilled in a variety of almost any weapon imaginable. He is particularly honed in a broadsword and a bow, however any item in his hand can easily be used as a weapon...and be used incredibly well.

Guns, knives, bats and other blunt objects: Very good
Bows and crossbows: Pretty good
Swords: Passable

He leaves anything involving fire to Dean. :)
