Alternate Universes in Reverse!
What: AU Weekend in Reverse (except not on a weekend): A plot for Alumni and Ex-Pats. As always, participation is completely voluntary.
When: Begins the morning of Thursday, March 5th, things return to normal by the morning of Saturday, March 7th
What's Happening?: The Portalocity computer goes a bit wacky and sends out random portals to previous customers, even if they didn't order them. (Previous customers on the island are protected by Fandom magic) These portals will suck plot participants up and deposit the character in an alternate universe where they'll have to stay until the folks at Portalocity can get their computer straightened out and start retrieving people. Retrievals will start happening at some point on the 6th, and everyone would definitely be retrieved by the morning of the 7th.
Potential Questions & Answers:
What if I've never used Portalocity? Can I still participate? - Portalocity has always maintained a list of potential customers. Which pretty much means that if you've passed through Fandom? They have your name.
How do I know what alternate universe I wind up in? – You can pick one of the following AUs:
1) A universe of some character who shares your name
Example: Chuck Bass winds up in Chuck Bartowski's world or vice versa
2) A universe of some character played by your PB
Example: Dean Winchester could wind up in Alec's Dark Angel world.
3) Another fandom's version of your current location (or an AU version from your own fandom)
Example: Troy's currently in his version of New York. He could wind up in the New York featured in the movie The Gangs of New York.
Angel's in LA. He could wind up going through a portal and finding an LA with a volcano like in the movie Volcano.
Can I be awake when the portal appears? – Sure! You can try to run away from it. But it's going to just keep appearing in front of you, closer and closer until you're pulled in. You can also be asleep when you're pulled in. The portal will deposit/dump you on the bed in your new and temporary lodgings. Whether or not you wake up when you're deposited depends on how deep you sleep.
Where will I sleep while I'm in the AU? – Fortunately Portalocity has recently expanded into lodgings and the computer has tapped into that network. You'll be deposited into a lodging/hotel/rooming situation appropriate for the universe where you've ended up. And yes, when it's over, Portalocity will pick up the tab as a way of making up for the inconvenience.
What if I'm somewhere with another character when the portal turns up? – It's your choice. Everyone gets their own portal, whether or not they wind up in the same place is up to you.
Can I communicate with anyone while I'm in the AU? – It's up to you.
Can I have NPCs or Special Guest Stars? – Guest journals will need to be approved. Another post will be going up for that as we get closer to the date.
Can I end up in universe that's currently represented at Fandom? – It's possible. Just be polite and talk to the folks that represent that fandom before hand.
And once more, with feeling - This plot is VOLUNTARY for alumni and ex-pats only. If you don't want to participate? There will be no portal and life will go on uninterrupted.

Failing that, how about the animated series version of G.I. Joe? Billy doesn't exist there, is why I ask. (Note to self, look for good cartoon pic to use as icon if that happens)
