Three Minute Dates

Well, it's that time again. Time to sign up for five threads of forced interaction with other people. Time for five chances at finding true love. Time for that semi-annual massive wave of OCD that I like to call Three Minute Dates at Caritas, taking place this time on Saturday, February 6th.

If you've never played in 3MD or just need a refresher, it goes like this. You sign up in this post. I take all of the people who signed up, throw their names into a spreadsheet, try to make sure that nobody is dating their own character, and then put up a post with over 100 comments of OCD. Then you come in with your character(s), find your five matches, and have quick little dates of three minutes game time. We'll call that about ten comments, five for each character (give or take), so get to the point quickly to see if you have a love connection.

Adults and students are both welcome to sign up, although teachers and students will NOT be paired together. There's a chance that students and townies COULD be paired together if the lineups are really out of whack somehow. I will do my best to avoid that kind of thing, though. A strong effort will be made to match people based on sexual preference, but I can make no promises. Based on the numbers, gay/bi characters could possibly end up paired with uninterested straight characters. Totally straight characters may end up with other straight characters of the same gender. That's just the way things fall sometimes.

Anyway, if you're interested, please leave a comment to this post with your character's name, type (student, teacher, townie), and preference of genders. Comments will be screened unless someone has a question. Signups will be open through Tuesday, February 2nd. Comment by midnight that night and you're in.

Just a couple notes on participation: The post will go up the night of February 5th and will be open for slowplay through the end of the weekend, but the bulk of the playing should be done on Saturday. If you sign up and later discover that you won't be around that day, PLEASE let me know that your character(s) should be taken off the lineups. Especially if you've signed up with multiple characters. The sooner you let me know, the better.
