Convention time!
Are you guys sick of me posting about plotty event type things yet?
Because you'll just have to suck it if that's the case. Why?
Because direct from a past brainstorming session to a (hopefully) fun-filled weekend, we are proud to present: Religion-Con!
Or "God Con." Haven't worked that name out yet.
Whatever! May 14th through the 16th we'll be having another convention in Fandom and this time around it's all about any fictional gods, goddesses, devils, deities, demons, angels, priests, preachers, nuns etc. coming to Fandom for food, seminars and maybe a few rounds of skeeball. Only catch here is that Fandom is going to be like Switzerland and be neutral territory for all the visiting powers that be. Sorry folks! No armageddon allowed!
Standards rules apply for this shin-dig!
* An application post will be put up for all your applying needs!
* If you are going to apply for a character from a Fandom already in the game, you need to contact any members privately via e-mail or AIM to give them a heads up
* If there's going to be any plotty stuff afoot as a result of your visitor coming to the island, please make sure you run it by the admins first.
* Remember that your character must be from a fictional source. No real life god-like beings please!
(For instance you cannot apply to be the god Thor from Nordic myths but "Thor" from the Marvel universe would be acceptable)
* Don't forget it doesn't have to be about the gods and goddesses! There's plenty of "normal" religious type characters you apply for that should fit the bill here.
And finally the deadline for the convention applications will be midnight May 8th. Because I say so.
Questions? Comments? Smiting? Petitions to have a certain someone apply for Zeus from Clash of the Titans to visit?

...*DIES*
It's also tempting to have Raven's daddy show up, but he'd traumatize the entire island by being 100 feet tall and wearing nothing but a loincloth.

I'm sure everyone's okay with the loincloth.

There's a whole lot I can pull from Raven's background. Must think on this! :)

I await your Zeus application with extreme excitement!

On the other hand, I would loooooooooooooooooooove for him to 'propose' again, with more than just Anakin around. Especially if Saetan is allowed to come and play. He'd handle that well. Totes.

...Crossing over is totes different, I swear!

We're not allowed to have two versions of the same character on-island. What about two different characters that are both based on the same deity-type-being?
For example, Marvel's Loki, Stargate's Loki, Didi's Loki, and Low-Key Lyesmith from American Gods? Or Gabrielle's Hades and our past VP?
Either answer is fine with me; I just thought that it might come up in the application process and figured we should have a ruling one way or the other ahead of time.

Yes, I'm evil.

Me? Like an asshole? SHOCKINGno subject
Since Raven is a WTF PORTAL, any gods or angels or demons are welcome to arrive on the island by walking out of her. Just tell me where you want me to be. :D

Cause clearly I think this guy needs to be there.

And, yes, that is one of the many incarnations of God from the show. Since I have a bunch of icons of Him uploaded on Joan's journal already, would I be able to play him out of there instead of making a new one?

But I'm selfish like that.

But that's all I can do from work since I don't wanna log in to the site at all, so I get what you're saying.

If you're talking about a certain character from Order of the Stick?
No.

Does the character have to be recognized as a god, such as *spoilerface* from American Gods (whose name is revealed and confirmed in a later short story that I haven't read yet) but not confirmed, explicitly, in AG?
If the character declares himself a god, say as the Sexy Shoeless God Of War, is that sufficient deityness to permit admittance?
