An event so gnarly, it's totally tubular.
That's right babies. It's a new event that rocks so hard you're going to be sent back in time.
It's all right. I can hear you now. "But Steve! How can that kind of thing happen?"
Well the only thing I can say to that is Hush. Hush. Keep it down now. Voices carry.
Both me and Frankie say "RELAX" Don't do it! When you want to go to it! In fact if you want to? You can even wear your sunglasses at night if you really want to do so.
Why? Well the answer is simple.
Hop into the Hot Onsen Time Machine Fandomites! From May 21st-22nd? We're going to the 80s!
Thanks to our time traveling island and some totally awesome antics at the Onsen, the island is going to accidentally land back on itself in 1980 something for the weekend!
What does that mean for our characters?
Well if you want to be bogus, you just have your character wake up in the 80s! Your character will be forced to wear 80's fashions, listen to 80's music, use 80's technology and spaz out in general.
But if you want to be bodacious? Well your character can transform into whoever their counterpart would have been in the 80s!
* If you want your student to transform it could be any person who might have lived in the same room in the 1980s.
* If you want your teacher to transform it could be any character who would have taught the same course in the 1980s
* If you want your townie to transform it could be any character who held the same jobs as your character in the 1980s.
For example:
If Deadpool were to transform? He could turn into Michael Keaton's character from Mr. Mom.
If Raven were to transform? She could turn into Samantha Baker from Sixteen Candles because she shared the same room as Raven in the 80s
If Eric were to transform? He could become Sam Malone from Cheers.
But alas at the end of the weekend? We'll have to beat it back to our own time period.
Bogus.
Come Monday the island will be off to its next destination and all our characters will be back to normal and remember everything that will have happened over the weekend.
And quite possibly? Some of you might want to never say goodbye
An application post will be forthcoming and the deadline to get your 80s application in will be due by May 18th. And because of all the time travel hijinx lately? It has to be 5/18/2011. Sorry about that.
