Brainstorming!

It's the first Saturday of the month once again, and naturally, that means it's time for a brainstorming post! Feel free to tag in at your leisure over the next few days - I understand that this is a holiday weekend and availability might be slim. I'll keep the spreadsheet updated as new ideas roll in!

Speaking of, here's the list of past brainstorming ideas!

I don't want to assume anything that might be in place but the tenth anniversary of the game is coming up in September.

Is it wrong that I want to see a flood of characters old and new from back in the day for one big reunion?

I think I remember my passwords for the old journals...

Not to spoil too much, but we've been cooking up something I won't specify yet for that date for a while already. ;)

I'm just throwing this out there in case it sparks inspiration, but I think it would be amazing if somebody apped a character to be a convict. Like, they come in, try to enact an evil plot, get captured by the end of their first week or two and for once in the history of Fandom, simply get thrown in prison and stay there. No special collections or end of plot escapes for this character. They could post the Trooper Station once a week from their cell, that kind of thing. Get let out for times when an extra set of muscles is needed. Get thrown back in jail after every weird weekend where suddenly they're out.

I have no idea how well it would work over time, but if I had thought of this before Jessica came back as a cop, she'd be getting a different job and I'd be looking at D-list villains to app. So I hope this idea hits the right person and they run with it. :D

Do you need something shiny to go missing? Ezra and his near-kleptomaniac tendencies are your friend!

Also if anyone needs someone to steal stuff or break into places for them, Ezra is also available for that. He's very talented at both stealing as well as general breaking and entering.

(Being a werefox helps with both as he can also get into small spaces.)

If anybody needs a healer, Anders is up for it. Probably he can't do much for chopped-off heads or emo comas, but he can handle your typical bruises/broken bones/general ouchies. Jury is out on whether spirit healing is in fact the cure for the common cold, but he'd be willing to try. Just drop me an email and we can work out the where and when.

(Alternately, if you want somebody to try and fail at healing your character, I'm up for that, too. It's magic, it doesn't work perfectly every time.)

So Edward has the magical power to recognize plot-important items and people Eagle Vision, with which he can 1) recognize whether people are hostile to him; 2) recognize whether people are important and/or his buddies, 3) see puzzles, important objects, secret passage ways, etc at a single glance; 4) find the nearest pile of hay with barely a thought, which is handy when you're plummeting off tall objects.

Which means that if you need someone to go 'WHAT, THE DOOHICKEY YOU NEED IS RIGHT THERE, BRIGHT AS DAY' to move something along, he's there. (Or if you need someone who can track people, even straight through walls and other solid objects, after spotting them but once, I guess...)

Hannibal is a very good psychiatrist. I'm just sayin'...

Not that anybody on Fandom would ever need one, obviously!

Would there be any interest in a group therapy/Fandom support group sort of thing? I thought it was nifty having that a while back, and I am not a psychiatrist but do play a shrink on TV!

Okay. I like random, as y'all may know. So... Looking at my calendar one day I noticed Thomas Jefferson's birthday was coming up. His 272nd. I also like number play, which a lot of you don't know, so, my brain went immediately to the 2$ bill... And how on that day if everybody finds 2$ bills in random places, they would only be able to find a max of 136 bills. Cause that's 272$!

SO that's my idea. Randomly, your character finds 2$ bills laying about or dropped from the sky or hurled at them wrapped around bricks...

And if there's a feel towards something MORE than just ***RANDOM FREE MONEY*** then we can do:

1. No stores will accept them because they don't believe they are authentic:

"There are rumors of certain store owners not accepting this denomination from customers, believing that the bills are either counterfeit or no longer considered legal tender. Two-dollar bills may suffer from the same perception problems as the Susan B. Anthony silver dollar coin or the recent Sacajawea golden dollar coin. Few vending machines are set to accept them"

2. they're bad luck until/unless the bill is torn.

"For some people, holding or possessing a $2 bill is considered to be bad luck. How this superstition came about is unclear; however, it is not unusual to find people that will continue to voice their conviction that the $2 bill is unlucky. As a result, a subsequent belief is that the bad luck embedded within the note can be dispelled by tearing off a corner of the bill. Therefore, it is not unusual to find $2 bills in circulation with one or more corners missing from the currency."

There are two issues, here, though. 1. There are possibly people who don't feel celebrating Tom is a thing to do. and 2. His birthday is the 13th of April. You know, a week or so from now?

Though that is nice, because it's the Monday after AU!Kids and a chance to recoup all the money our characters just spent on those greedy little... uh. Cute darlings.

Anyway. That's my idea. Chip away at it!

Uhm it just occurred to me... could we have a minor event when it's wee-tiny weekend? Some of our characters are even WORSE as kids than they are as teens/adults, and I would love to see some of the wee ones take on a bad guy. Even if it's not a very good bad guy.

Or maybe have a minor even during AU!kids, which adds a little "OMG MOM I AM TEN! I AM TOTALLY A GROWN UP!!" to the mix as well as letting the main characters go the "we gotta protect the babies" route.

Or both?

OMG seconded SO HARD!

Admittedly mostly the latter, since most of mine as kids would just hide. LOL

Also, I was just thinking it could be fun to have weetiny time and AU kids at the same time.

How does Hannibal feel about non-super superheroes with low self esteem who need to talk to someone but don't want to talk to someone but have a really nice girlfriend who could convince them to talk to someone?

:D

Hannibal loves people who want to talk to him! Especially powerful people with low self-esteem! :D

...no reason. ;)

(Sue him, he likes having powerful people on his side. If the way to do that is good psychotherapy, he can do that!)

Yay! *cackle* And one of these days I'll officially start Hannibal's on-island practice...

(Not that you need to wait for that. But he will have an office and be all official and everything!)
