Upcoming Event: Disney Weekend
Or 'Children's Movie Weekend,' or 'Fairytale Weekend,' or 'G-Rated Weekend' or...look, I went through a lot of names before settling on 'Disney Weekend' but, like, this isn't a licensing thing so much as a 'ubiquitousness of Disney movies' thing. ANYWAY. I GOT MORE CRACK FOR Y'ALL.
Next weekend (January 23-24), the island will be hit with a wave of something that makes all participating characters act like they are in a children's movie, with all the associated tropes.
Maybe little birds help your character get dressed in the morning! Do you have a pet? Cool, maybe it either talks or can use very expressive sign language, now. Maybe you're a lost princess! Maybe you're actually evil, and want to make a coat out of dogs or something similarly over-the-top terrible. Maybe you're on a quest to save your village! Maybe your wishes have power. Maybe you keep singing when you meant to just talk, because you're in a musical now.
There are a few rules, which I am cutting to save the flist:
Characters' situations are up to their players, and anyone affected by the weekend will believe all these situations are true.
If the owner of a place wants to change it for the weekend, they can.
If your character is affected by the weekend, they can't be normal again midway through, and vice versa.
Anything that would bring NPCs to the island is off-limits, but you can transform your existing NPCs (pets, children, Tino) at will.
Everyone will wake up Monday totally normal, all the places will go back to normal, and everyone will remember every detail of the weekend.
If you choose to participate, your character cannot have sex, cannot use drugs or drink alcohol, or use foul language next weekend. They don't even want to. Maybe they get to chastely kiss someone on Sunday, though, at the 'end of the movie.'
Yes I stole most of these rules from when you guys did tropes weekend, which I am really sad to have missed.
