Anybody want to help a vamp?
I'm going to phrase this one broadly so as to not spoil people who don't want to be spoiled about upcoming plotlines. Suffice it to say if you don't want to know anything about what's going to happen with Angel and/or anyone he hangs out with between now and Saturday, don't click the cut tag.
On the other hand, if you'd like to be a tiny bit spoiled and possibly help out
Okay, Angel's going to be hit with "Killer of the Dead" poison between now and Saturday. The name's truth in advertising. If Angel doesn't get cured of this, he'll die. Actual death, as in bye-bye vampire.
The canonical cure for this poison is draining the blood of a Slayer. One problem: We lack in Slayers. Especially ones we can kill. Ooops. ;)
What we do not lack in, however, is all sorts of folks from all kinds of dimensions who can possibly come up with a new kind of cure.
So, who wants to help out a vampire?
Plot-wise I'd need Angel to be down for the count for at least a few days and, if necessary, I can keep him suffering for about a week. Beyond that, sky's the limit for my needs. Hopefully this can provide a way to get some teamwork and interaction going, so some kind of solution that takes a little bit from one fandom, a little bit from another, mixes it with another, etc. would be best.
Any takers? =)
ETA: For the folks going to England, we can handwave the canon a little and keep Angel sick as long as we need to. Plus there's some help that could happen in England itself. So there's plenty of ways to make sure all who want to get to play =)

"I... I can't come in unless you invite me."
Giles returns from the hall, holding a crossbow and raising it at the ready.
"I'm aware of that. Come in."

SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN SEASON 7 BTVS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Keep in mind that Giles comes from a timeline in which there are plenty of slayers to go to. Now, depending on how you want to do this, we can have Giles hold out on him, or maybe the Slayers' blood has been diluted. Or his conduit back to his own dimension goes dark.

I always believe the G in RPG should stand for anGst ;)
And the great thing with Giles is that, as you say, he could be used in either direction.
If nothing else I'd imagine Giles would be the one to figure out what's poisoned Angel since he, unlike FH Angel, has seen this before. (I pulled Angel out at a nebulous point of s3 Buffy, so he hasn't been poisoned by Faith yet)
Beyond that, let's see who all volunteers and then we can figure out a plan of action that lets everybody have something to do if they want it.
