Curing the Vamp

I figured it'd be a good idea to pull together all the possible cure suggestions so we can brainstorm them into a coherent whole.



Here's what we've got so far:

1) Part of the cure will involve something the UK gang has to get from Knockturn and/or Diagon Alley (so Angel is not going to be completely better until the UK gang gets home later this week)

2) Bel will suggest the demon alchemist route but for whatever reason won't be able to get his hands on a demon alchemist. Al will somehow step in to do what he can.

3) Lana has access to a healing serum that Lex Luthor made out of Clark Kent's blood

4) Steal underpants

5) ???

6) Profit!

My brainstormy thoughts:

Both teams are going to find out that Slayer's blood cures Angel but that they have no access to such blood. So at that point I think the Fandom and UK teams would need to start brainstorming how they can MacGyver up something that they'll hope will be close enough for government work. Mix in #1-3 and maybe toss in a Halliwell spell over it to cover the bases maybe? Also, how will the teams know to bring all their pieces together?

I dunno.

Perfect timing. I just finished the thread I was working on.

Does Alfred know what's going on? Could he come to the clinic and try to do something?

All Alfred knows is what's been said on the radio, that Angel's sick. Which isn't really enough for him to be interested, as he doesn't know how sick or that poison is involved. For all he knows, Angel just got a bad vampire cold.

Hmm. Sounds like we can't do anything with Alfred and Angel tonight then. I don't know if Giles is still online for Alfred to visit and give him the info we need.

The only other option would be for Alfred to come into the clinic with some sort of wound (perhaps Wadsworth "accidently" hurt him) and then started enquiring about Angel out of curiosity. I'd rather not do that, though. It seems kind of contrived and it's a bit out of character for someone who's fast enough to take on Walter to be so easily hurt by Wadsworth.

[nod] Yeah. Let's see if we can try to get the Giles interaction and then the minor Angel curing done tomorrow then. (Not that I know Giles's schedule, so watch me speak for him like I'm god ;) )

Just as a heads-up: I'll need Angel awake again today b/c there's some plot points that need to happen while he's sick and conscious (or what passes for it with him ;) ). So if we can't get the Alfred thing going today I'm going to say that Isabel's dreamwalk help nudged him towards being awake.

Dangerous proposition, that.

Do you know anything about Giles being online and in the bookstore today? Because I noticed that Lana opened it up.

If not, I came up with an idea this morning that just might past muster.

I came up with another one five seconds ago that's kind of so blindingly obvious I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier.

Idea 1: Accident while opening up Cafe Fina. Ladder falls or a sign falls, looks like it's going to hit Wadsworth. Alfred pulls Wadsworth out of the way but hurts himself in the process. Has to go to clinic to have hand bandaged up. Sees Angel, makes a curious inquiry, goes from there. A bit contrived, but it could work.

Idea 2: Alfred calls Walter in England just to see how he's doing, maybe ask him to look someone up or to bring home a certain brand of tea, whatever. At some point during the conversation, Walter tells Alfred about their frantic search for a cure to Angel's poison, Alfred reacts by running over and doing his voodoo.

I haven't run this idea past Walter-mun yet, but I can't imagine they'd have a problem with it.

I'm not sure which I'll end up using, but rest assured that Alfred will be there by lunch FHT.

And just so ya know, I kind of came up with Alfred's treatment idea as hurting like the nine hells for Angel, but whether it hurts or not is, obviously, completely up to you.

Alfred now knows what's going on and is en route to the Clinic. I'm not sure what state you'll be in to play, but I'll start the ball rolling anyway.
