OOC: General request for plotting and organization

Hey, all!

So, in an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations, etc.

Anything that is a canon power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread.

Thank you so much for indulging my OCD your participation.

(And naturally, there will be threads, so please to be waiting for them and they're up!)

Peter can cling to most surfaces, is strong enough to lift about 7 tons if he really pushes it, has enhanced speed and agility, and has a sixth sense that alerts him to impending danger.

Jamie has the ability to take kinetic energy and use it to create duplicates of himself. These duplicates can then be absorbed by Jamie later on and be able to retain any skills or memories the duplicate may have gained while apart from the original Jamie.

When hit with cold water Ranma turns into a girl. Not very useful except in sex appeal.

Molly is near invulnerable and can lift at least 3 tons, probably much more (based on the fact that 3 tons is her canon limit at age 11 and a recent comment by Brian K. Vaughn, the writer and creator, says that her powers continue to increase as she ages). So, really strong, yeah.

Z has the ability to create replicates of herself at will, signaled by her eyes briefly glowing. The replicates are independently intelligent, but they will obey the orders of the original Z. She can later reabsorb these replicates, keeping any knowledge or memories they have developed. She can only create and absorb duplicates within her line of sight.

Mutation is about the best description there is for Artie, canonically. He's referred to many times in canon as being a mutant.

He is the strongest man in the world. He can lift buildings (though if he's not carefully, he could pull a muscle), throw things fast enough that they catch fire, stay up for hours on end, has super-sight (as long as he's wearing his glasses) and super smell. He's very fast as well, and rather flexible.

*sighs deeply*

Aura Reading- the energy field emanating from the surface of a person or object. Bridge can tell good from evil, whether a character has magic or a mutation of some sort of their own, and species (ie, vampires, Sebaceans...etc, have different auras than humans). He can also see people if they're invisible.

Empathy- the ability to recognize and understand the emotion of another. Bridge can do this. This power, at least, is fairly straightforward.

Telempathy- the ability to sense and/or influence the subject's emotions from a distance. While Bridge *definitely* has the ability to sense emotions from a distance, there's no evidence in canon of him being able to influence them.

Telepathy- the ability to communicate information from one mind to another. Bridge definitely has the ability to *read* the thoughts of others. There's no canon evidence of him being able to project thoughts, and so I've played him as being unable to do that (except in the sense that when interacting with characters who have a telepathic ability of their own, they'd be able to read his thoughts, projected or not)

Precognition- the ability to sense events before they happen. This manifests in one of two ways- he can see events *right* before they happen (especially useful in a fight), or he can see them in dreams.

Retrocognition- the ability to sense *past* events, without having been physically present when they occured. This is how he tracks people- he scans an area, and can tell who's been there. Their presences usually manifest as green-tinted and semi-transparent.

Psychometry- the ability to relate details about the past condition of an object or area, usually by being in close contact with it. While similar to the retrocog in that it involves sensing the past, it manifests differently for Bridge- as a full-on vision, rather than just an image of past traces.

Also, Bridge wears gloves pretty much 100% of the time, because he doesn't have very precise control over his powers. With them on, he can't use his them to their full extent- usually he's able just sense that there's a reason he *should* take his gloves off and get a closer look at whatever's going on.

Alec is an X5, a supersoldier genetically engineered to be superior to humans in most every way.

His strength, reflexes and healing abilities are three times that of a human. His senses (smell, hearing, vision) and his bone/cartilage density are twice that of a human's. His metabolism and flexibility are very nearly twice that of the human average and his cardiovascular/cardiopulmonary systems are as well (which means he can hold his breath easily for about 4-5 minutes and sustain physical activity longer than most). He can also literally think faster than a human (though neural net/synapse enhancements) and has eidetic memory as well as a genius level IQ.

Specifically, Alec and his clone (X5-493) are specialized for social skills (i.e. persuasion, coercion, and manipulation) through the use of genetic donors with an aptitude towards those skills. The DNA "cocktail" also includes black leopard, which leads to a number of the muscular/physical enhancements, but is only evident on a cellular and mostly internal level.

X5s also have a telescopic ability with their vision, being able to focus on something far away extremely well. The cat DNA also allows them night vision, though, like a cat, they still need a small amount of light (like the moon or stars or very dim light somewhere near) in order to see.

Alec can use all of his abilities to their full potential due to training.

Marie doesn't possess any mutant abilities yet.

However, she will eventually be developing her mutation in game. When that happens, she will absorb the life force of anyone she comes in direct skin-to-skin contact with. She absorbs their memories, thoughts & feelings (and they end up in a coma) and, in the case of mutants, their powers temporarily.

Addendum: Thanks to a comics geek friend, I need to amend Marie's ability. She absorbs powers/abilities of anyone that has them... not just mutants.
