Upcoming Event! The Flood!

Hey, folks. Over the next few days, we're going to be having a lot of fun modding the weather because we have a very special event coming up next weekend (March 10-11). Fandom is going to be experiencing a flood. Fandom being Fandom, the flood is just the start of the fun, but you'll have more details on that in the coming days. Just for now we want to let people know the basics and how it might affect them.

*In general: Some portions of the island are going to be several feet under water. Some portions will be above water. The ground can shift and these things can happen for a weekend. Areas like the park will definitely go under, so if you're thinking about visiting it next weekend, take a life vest.

*Students: The pool will not be the only place you can go swimming. You may also note that the shore got a lot closer. The school and dorms will remain safe and dry, though. Well, relatively dry. It's still going to be raining a lot.

*Townies: Your businesses and homes may get flooded. The extent of the flooding at your homes/businesses is up to you, of course, and there will be water transportation made available to people so that they can go about their lives relatively unbothered by the event. Housing will also be provided to people who get flushed out. Please let us know the extent of the flooding you want to happen by Tuesday and we may contact you to see if you want to play host to some other wacky stuff.

*Teachers: You live in town. See Townies.

Things will be back to normal (well, normal plus somewhat damp) next Monday, March 12. Give us a couple days and we'll give some more details about the fun that's in store for people.

Minimal OCD is coming up.

Provided the other inhabitants of 18 Apocalypse Avenue are willing to help move books out of the danger zone (...it might take a while), I put up Yomiko's basement for flooding.

Aiden totally gets a love of the books, so she'd also be happy to help out.

On behalf of all of the residents of 33 Apocalypse Ave (except Pickwick, who is most displeased), I'm authorised to say bring on the water!

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes but it'd be fun to see Rose swim to class in 50 Minotaur Lane B

Heyla!

As sort of landlord, my only thought on this would be check with your other two roommates and see if they're okay with 50-B getting flooded. If not, maybe something like what MCA is doing, where there could be significant rain damage to just Rose's room might work?
