So you wanna be a hero, kid? A Fighter's Guide to the Angels
As you would have read in the other numerous posts, the Weeping Angels appear to be statues of (you guessed it) angels that cover their eyes as if they are crying. In reality, they are aliens that have no corporeal form unless they are looked at by another living thing. When someone is looking at them, they are locked in their angel statue form. When no one is looking at them? Well, no one knows, because no one has seen them.
All we know is that when you don't look at them, they move very, very fast. You can't actually see them move, because they stay still as a stone (statue) when they're looked at. When no one is watching, however, they can cross great distances and even pass through solid walls in the blink of an eye. So don't blink. Don't ever blink.
Although the aliens appear to be statues, they cannot be physically defeated. This poses a bit of a problem for our gun-toting, aggressive types. And, since they don't know that they can't be destroyed, that certainly won't stop anyone from trying.
On Wednesday evening, the jig will be up. It will become apparent that the angels are responsible for the disappearances. Before then, it'll be restricted to sheer suspicion and any attacks on the angels would just be vandalism. Because seriously, they're statues and as far as is anyone's guess, they're just a new thing in town as happens all the time. But once they're revealed as being the culprit, it's going to be only natural for the locals to want to take them down the normal way - through gratuitous violence.
Hacking and slashing at them won't be much use. Feel free to try your best. Swords, lightsabers and magic unfortunately won't do much good. Explosives might blow them into little pieces, but once you look away, it'll reappear good as new. Sucks, huh? Well, failure does suck, but that's not the point of it all. The point is to get out there and give it your best shot. That's where the fun is.
Tl;dr - no going after the angels until Wednesday night. There will be a post letting people know about it. Until then, ignorance or mild suspicion since the angels seem to be harmless and Fandom weirdness if you have to notice them. They can't be destroyed, but don't let that stop you trying.

And Aravis will do...something or other. I'm not sure what yet, but she'll want to.

Well, okay, he doesn't have a middle name, but I'd bet that, if he did, that would be it.

OOC
Re: OOC
How much leeway do we have in, say, putting up business posts about mentioning the angels? I'm assuming it's cool to mention in passing, for example, that someone noticed that there seemed to be a lot more statuary around than usual. But is it okay to mention in narrative that it doesn't always seem to stay in the same place?
