Character Ability Tally!! (because the memes weren't eating your afternoon enough)

WATCH ME SHAMELESSLY USE THE SAME POST AGAIN.

(I wrote it. I'm allowed to cannibalize it. Hush.)

In an effort to keep things a little more organized for plottishness and so on, we're going to ask a quick favor of you all.

Could you please reply to each appropriate comment below, and let us know what kind of powers/abilities/etc your character possesses? This is for all characters - students/alumni, teachers and townies - and covers everything including especially good researching/support skills, magic, skill with weaponry, mutations and so on. This is mandatory for all characters, and we would appreciate it ASAP though there is no specific deadline.

Anything that is a canon¹ power or ability of your character and could be used in a plot in some way, please list below in the correct thread. Temporary powers for specific plots do not need to be noted now.

Please be as thorough as possible, as this will help everyone out with plots and knowing who can fill what roles.

¹ In this instance, "canon" does refer to FH canon as well. If your character at this time has honed their fighting skills or anything like that, please do make sure to note that. For guidelines on characters picking up abilities, please see this post.

Please reply with a detailed explanation of what abilities your character possesses, and their skill levels. This is kind of a catch-all for anything that could really be useful to anyone in a plot.

Kaylee's a mechanical Sue. Give her something to fix, and provided that she has the equipment to do so, she'll do it faster and probably better than the average mechanic. She says in canon that machines just "talk to her," which I don't think is the presence of any sort of supernatural ability as much as it's just Kaylee having a sixth sense for what might be wrong and how to repair it.

Ned can bake kickass pies.

Aravis is an exceptionally good horsewoman, and not that I imagine this ever really coming up, but Calormenes are trained in the art of storytelling. So if you ever need someone to get their long-winded pretty words on, she's your girl.

Evey is a budding explosives expert. She's very well-versed in things like fertilizer bombs and other fun things you could make using stuff around the house, but she's spent the last year and a half learning how to make things go boom.

Lee can fly ships! Vipers and Raptors are his favorites but he'd learn to fly just about anything just to get a chance to fly. He's also into law and politics very secretly.

And he has the worst first name ever.

Canonically, Toby does not experience that which is known to others as "consequences."

For example, Toby can be hit over the head with a bat, dumped in the ocean, and emerge completely fine the next morning (other than thinking erroneously that he had amnesia).

The curse means Ella will do what she's told, though not without resistance or, if she can get away with it, overly literal interpretations. This is probably more a liability than an ability.

Robin's also an extremely good liar (*ignores season 3's retconning*) and has been known to use this ability (plus she's not afraid to use some of her better assets, if you know what I'm saying) to sneak in just about anywhere she wants.

Hannibal can ride motorcycles. Vroom vroom!

Claire's got almost nothing. She's a gifted artist and photographer, in case we ever have an invasion of something whose soul is really stolen with a camera lens. She can drive, too, and she's not freaked out by dead bodies or gore in general. Beyond that, nada.

Meg has two well armed, well trained NPC Secret Service agents following her around.

Fraser has the power of BEING REALLY GODDAMN CANADIAN.

He knows ASL and can speak Chinese, French, Greek, Latin, Russian, Spanish and Tsimshian.

He's been injured A TON but always recovers. He's very resilient.

Tyler Durden is Tyler Durden.

Which means that, while he rarely taps into this side of himself, he could get an army together in 48 hours if he wanted to. People listen to the guy.

Roy is an alchemist and a pretty good one at that. Alchemy basically means that he can turn one thing into something else as long as the amount of matter remains the same. This can go from turning a spoon into a fork to rebuilding a building that got destroyed. As long as he can determine the make up of an item, he can transmute it. Well that and he needs to draw a transmutation circle to guide the process (he usually has one already drawn on his gloves).

He rarely uses this type of alchemy in combat however, preferring his own particular brand of alchemy that earned him the title of "Flame alchemist". He wears a pair of spark cloth gloves that allow him to create a flame just by snapping his fingers. After that, he transmutes the density of the air around him to guide the flames. Using this technique he can set things on fire and create large explosions.

Gavin can fly ships and specializes in X-Wings.

He also can ride horses.

Cameron is a decent pilot. He's a bit rusty right now, however.

Barbossa can perform weddings!

He is also able to stand up and speak mostly coherently despite being, you know, a raging alcoholic.

Piper has excellent culinary skills, though she isn't formally trained.

John's got a neural clone in his head. This thing sometimes talks to him, telling him to do things. The majority of time, Umberto leads him the right way so he can preserve John's life and, therefore, his own existence.

John can also fly a Prowler.

Also, he can change diapers now!

Biff knows Jesus. *nods*

Tosh is a computer genius. She got hacking skills, programming skills, can break codes, etc. She could probably build a computer, too, if she had to.

She can improvise with most forms of technology. She can build things even if the plans are incomplete.

Lion-o has access to a semi-sentient sword with a bunch of interesting powers. It will come to his aide when he's trouble, it flies to his hand when he calls on it, and it gives him the power of Sight Beyond Sight to see events happening in real-time. It also can generate a force-field large enough to protect the bearer, and eventually he'll also be able to use it to send up a light signal that can be visible all over the island.I

In general, the sword's range is restricted to the island, so he can't use Sight Beyond Sight to see what's going on somewhere off-island.

Lion-o hasn't fully come into his powers yet, though, so whatever he's able to do with the sword will depend on the plot.

Anything that has to do with Shakespeare, plays, theatre in general, acting, directing etc?

He is your man.

In addition to his other colossal Sue-ness, Anakin can also fly.
