Ever wonder if...?

Hey there Fandomites! Fandomians? Whatever we're called. So there's another little plotty thing going be happening soon for the holiday season.

Ever seen It's a Wonderful Life? It's sorta like that.

Blame it on Fandom weirdness or the spirit of the season, starting next Sunday, December 15 and ending on Christmas Eve, the people of Fandom are going to be able to have visions showing them what their life would be like if something was changed. It can be something big, like being able to see what would happen if they'd never been born, or something little, like "What if I hadn't missed class last week?"

The visions will last for all of about three seconds, and won't disrupt anything unless your character chooses to share it. Despite that super short time, they can see as much or as little as you're willing to let them. Handwavey omg. They don't have to be anything true, it's just a glimpse into an AU. The only real rule is, you can only have one vision total per character. (It's Fandom weirdness, you're not turning AUly prophetic.)

If you choose, you can share a vision with one other person while they're physically together as long as the vision involves both people. For instance, John and Jaina could both see what would happen if they broke up if they were in the same room. If John and Gavin were hanging out and John was going to see the breakup, Gavin wouldn't be able to see the same thing. The shared vision would count as the one for both characters.

Come Christmas Eve, the whole thing will just sort of peter out, and everything will return to normal. This is open to ALL: students, teachers, townies, alumni, ex-pats, anyone who's away from Fandom for the holidays, whatever. Hopefully this will give everyone time to play in it if they want.

Questions, comments, peppermint mochas?

1. My mom said it was evil and depressing and I wasn't allowed. Like Old Yeller. And Air Bud, Golden Receiver.

... did she watch until the ending?

IIRC, she didn't think it made up for the trauma. She didn't let me see Bambi until I was a teen, though.
