Starting on March 30th, Fandom is going to be invaded by zombies.

Yes, zombies. And they're dying to get to know you better.

Without giving too much away, the Girls With Guns club is going to be followed home by a very disgruntled Zombie Voodoo Priest (ZVP) on their next outing. He wants revenge and brains, and Fandom seems like the perfect place to start.

Starting on April 1st (yes, seriously), Fandomites are going to get bitten by the newly-raised NPC zombies that are terrorizing the island. Research will begin on Thursday, once everyone realizes the radio wasn't joking the other night about ZOMBIES.

Sunday will be the showdown, with a small group going up against our ZVP while others defend the dorms and town from the Fandomite Zombies. They're on a mission to add to their ranks, by force, and they're after your brains!

ETA the First: Sign-up deadline is Weds, March 25th, at noon CST.

ETA the Second: The more Fandomite Zombies, the better! Remember, all damage sustained during your zombification will be reversed at the end of the plot. It's a great chance to provide mental trauma to your friends and family for years to come.

Will the Finale be a preplay or a live RP deal?

A little bit of both, actually. There will be the inevitable scuffles between finale team members and zombies. One-on-one fights like those can be played out live as the people playing are available. Larger mandatory plotty bits, however, we're going to try to preplay the heck out of in a separate, locked post, to account for time zones and general availability muck.

Just to clarify, since I have noted below that everyone hates me and I'll be sporadic throughout the weekend due to drinking/getting old/etc., will there be zombie-vs.-human one-on-one encounters throughout the week, where the human doesn't necessarily get bitten, but they can whale on zombies for funsies?

Absolutely! Zombie encounters will start occurring sporadically on the Wednesday, and you'll be able to mod your own zombies in the same way that the harpies were moddable this week. Or, if you're looking for interaction with a zombie of an NPC sort, we'll be doing our best to accommodate those who are spoiling for interaction, with the overall number of encounters increasing right on up to the finale.

For the final encounter, if you're looking to be part of the dorms defense team, you can even pre-play a confrontation at the dorms, and link it to the OCD for that event from your personal journal, if you need to.

To piggyback a question on this answer, once someone has been made a PC zombie, will they be allowed to participate in turning others into zombies as well? Or just be the zombie in one of these zombie interactions?

PC Zombies are just as capable of turning other people into zombies as the NPC ones are, and in fact we encourage them to do so! Provided, of course, they have the OOC permission of the people they are biting, and that the people being bit have signed up to be chewed on here in this post.

So, yes, feel free to spread the undead love!

Okay, so I'm assuming that this is ye olde traditionale "you get bit by a zombie, you become a zombie" shebang for getting PC-zombied? That's . . . not actually specified, as far as I can tell.

Not actually my question. Will there be opportunity for non-bitey injury-by-zombie early-ish in the plot? For those of us who want to get in some being mean to their character but may not have the most availability over the course of the whole plot.

Oops! Yes, that is absolutely how becoming zombified will work. A bite from a zombie will mean that you yourself will certainly also become a zombie within a matter of minutes.

And yes! April 1st (the Wednesday) will be the first notable sign of zombies, so if you'd like to have your character have an encounter of the non-bitey persuasion, that would be the earliest opportunity to do so, as modded or as NPCd as you please.

That depends.

We can ground her for drinking without us, we can (and will) ground her for inferring that some of us are old (which we are not), and we might ground her just because we can.

We cannot, alas, ground her for having a birthday. Unless she doesn't share the cake, in which case she's grounded again.

Just so I have this absolutely clear, basically we can kill our character off for a few days? Because even if the PC Zombie is killed they'll come back to life when the plot is done? Or is there no killing of PC Zombies allowed, just maiming?

We would prefer this plot remain fatality-free. Maiming of the PC Zombies is perfectly alright, but if it does come down to RNG-ing for a slot as a zombie, and someone uses it as a reason to be dead for three days, that would hardly be fair to the other players.
