It's storming brains! Hallelujah!

What time is it? Time for a brainstorming post!

It is also time not to reply to said post until I'm done with the OCD for it. DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE. Because I so will. Then I'll be there and it'll be all awkward because I'm actually supposed to be at work and everybody here will wonder where I wandered off too and it will be ALL YOUR FAULT. So just wait with the posting already. Good? Good.

And now OCD is up! Storm away!

It's been a good long time (well, 18 months, give or take -- that's aaaaaages) since we had a weetiny weekend for the adults. I'm putting a vote in for one in the not-too-distant future.

Just a general note: I am working on a plot to get Umbridge out of Special Collections and back on the island for those that missed her the first time, have unfinished business or anything in between.

While the pieces are still coming together, I can tell you it is going to be different than the first time she's around (though I still have hopes of her taking Zoe out to make things more evil) and she won't be immediately recognizable when she is out of Special Collections so it won't be an immediate OMG NOES moment for anyone.

She'll also be bringing some friends with her to help her out in this vendetta against Fandom. I'm not telling who, of course, but she won't be alone even if she thinks she could take you all out.

So, this is just a general lookout, really! I'm still sending emails out to those that might have ties to her and I want to get the alums/expats involved too since they were here the first time. A

And it's about damn time she got out of SC and got her comeuppance of a more brutal kind.

Henry: *Will, when this is over, likely upgrade the Special Collections rule from 'We don't go in there without a good reason and a weapon' to 'We don't go in there. No, really.'*

I am very squeeful about this.

Hurrah! I will be shooting you an email once I get a few other things nailed down. It's on my big ole list of stuff to do for this plot. :D

UMBRIDGE.

I love you. Serious.

And if you need anything- NPCing or preplay coding or whatever, don't be shy. I live to be your bitch do neat little fiddly things like that.

I've been toying with the idea of doing some sort of 'monster in the sewers' plot for Tim. Not sure which monster, something out of folklore or mythology. Anyone want in? And should it be adults only or should I let the students in on the fun?

Is anyone else familiar enough with Slings & Arrows to feel like they could play Ellen? Danii and I were trying to work out the logistics of it if we had one visit for a short while.

I . . . have now watched the series a number of times. I might be able to pull off Ellen.

Still a vague, vague idea, but. I'm toying with the notion of Anders inadvertently figuring out his Cylon projection (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Projection) ability at some point. Though I'm completely at a loss as to how or why it'd even come up. It's nothing super-important and I'm not attached to the idea, it's just a vague notion for a personal plot at this point.

But it'd be kinda neat.

Heh. Well if you need a bizarre chain of events to make that happen, I'll be glad to have Layla help him out on that one.

That could be a very good option, yes! It'd probably entail me being very very mean to him, as the only real initial use for the ability I can think of that's applicable outside of being on a basestar or around other Cylons would be the detach-himself-from-reality one. Good thing I don't have a problem with that. Considering there aren't exactly any other Cylons around to clue him in about it, Layla'd probably be really useful with that.

(I would have to get this approved, too, should it ever get beyond the "vague contemplation" phase, but. Yes.)

Instead of sending Bruce to whatever spring break vacation may be happening, I was planning on sending him off to learn a little more about his world's version of magic while connecting a few dots in his past.

I have a few ideas for this (largely involving the Demon Etrigan from the comics/DCAU), but if there are a couple magicky type students who can't do spring break stuff, I think that could help me fill out the plot a little more.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I DON'T EVEN KNOW THIS ENTRIGAN FELLOW.

...and Jason Blood is a douche. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

And what I'M sayin' is that "Blood" is a weirdass last name.

I don't have any magically inclined students but Paige can be available to orb in and offer assistance if Bruce needs her.

Re: Specific ideas

[identity profile] willbethenight.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Bruce would immediately object to the words "assistance" and "need" in that sentence. :D

Seriously, though, thanks for the offer, but I'd rather keep it to students who might be inclined to join him on a learning adventure. If I come up with anything where he could use a teleporter, though, I have you marked down as someone to bug.

Clark is always here for you.

Not that he is magical.

...does he get points for being a student?

Re: Specific ideas

[identity profile] willbethenight.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Some, but I think he gets more points for making me geek about a World's Finest teamup.

I don't know if it'll be this plot, BUT if not, I'm absolutely dragging you into a plot at some point soon just to team the boys up.

I don't know how much help Morgana could be, not knowing Bruce or being from the DCU...but she's yours if it would help!

Re: Specific ideas

[identity profile] willbethenight.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
This is very funny to me for reasons I don't know if I can get into right now, but the short version is that Etrigan is related to DC's version of Arthurian legend.

But yeah, absolutely, it would be great to have Morgana in there. I'll get some thoughts organized and then I'll bug you about it in more detail. :D
