It's storming brains! Hallelujah!
What time is it? Time for a brainstorming post!
It is also time not to reply to said post until I'm done with the OCD for it. DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE. Because I so will. Then I'll be there and it'll be all awkward because I'm actually supposed to be at work and everybody here will wonder where I wandered off too and it will be ALL YOUR FAULT. So just wait with the posting already. Good? Good.
And now OCD is up! Storm away!

Plot spare parts
Re: Plot spare parts
But I do want to mess with it, so if anyone's plot needs a random plot device berserker smashing on in, let me know. Or if you just want to mess with the fact that Jak has liquid evil in his veins right now and it shows to anyone who can pick up on that kind of thing, period.
ETA: Might as well take the example of others and squash the rest together: Mitchell's still a 100-year-old vampire with a weakness for people with self esteem issues, Ender's still smart and plotty as hell if you need something benignly arranged for your character, Nate's still... smart and plotty as hell if you need something that may or may not be beningly arranged for your character (nevermind being a massive bruiser if he sees the need for it), and Arthur is... Well. Prone to take off like a chicken without a head if he sees a) a challenge or b) some injustice.
Re: Plot spare parts
...And the Azula in my head just sat-up and took notice. Er, not that I'm planning anything.

Re: Plot spare parts
For the most part, in daily life, is it an active, intentionally looking to do evil, evil running through Jak's veins? Or more like "Hi, yes, I'm aligned evil now. Can you pass me that box of cocoa puffs? I have class in twenty minutes."
Re: Plot spare parts
Re: Plot spare parts
Joan can get instructions from God to do stuff so if you need someone to connect the dots between point A and point B in your plot, she's your girl.
Oh, and Paige can teleport, so there's that.
Re: Plot spare parts
So -- if your character needs somebody to just listen, please let me know. She has a high tolerance for emotional pain and cannot be shocked.
Of my others, Jack still speaks half a dozen languages and has detective-fu up the wazoo, Tara's still a witch, Tyler can still beat people up, and Henry has random survival skills, runs really fast, and blinks in and out of time.
Re: Plot spare parts
(Because, given the Xenaverse Revolving Door of Death, I thought it was funny. But that could be useful.)

Re: Plot spare parts
Emma's still a telepath, and picking up random thoughts like a weetiny radio receiver of bitchy rage, and would be perfectly happy to drop in and
tormentchat with you. Ghanima has limited prescience/clairvoyance, and can tutor you in pretty much anything, and Anemone can 'taste' (sense) the difference between human & non-human, and is easily enabled into pranks and chaos. Gulliver possesses the dual powers of Panduppy Cute and Quantum Density.Re: Plot spare parts
Re: Plot spare parts
That's the only particularly unique spare-part-y bit I can think of to offer for my girls. Of the others, Katchoo has some covert-ops skills and is actually quite good at flirting/charming information out of people, or assuming a persona to sneak in somewhere. Or being EXPLOSIVELY RAGEY. Tahiri's around in case you have a need for basic Jedi-type abilities, and she's a decent starfighter pilot now. As for Kennedy, I only recently found out that apparently the Potentials are somewhat subject to the prophetic dreams (stupid vague canon), but since I started out assuming she didn't, I'm spinning it so that any such dreams she has are vague enough to be pretty much useless. So I have nothing to offer there, unless you happen to need a hotheaded, quippy, but entirely average fighty-type for something. I don't do much with Lacey's tendency to butt into other people's business because, yeah, butting in, but she's available for that if you think your townie needs someone to annoy them.
ETA: And for the alumni. Nothing particularly unique in this bunch but, y'know. :)
Anders has (though he doesn't realize the reason) the upped physical stamina/strength/disease resistance of a Cylon, and is available if you need an unpowered athletic muscle guy who's pretty decent with guns. (I would like to avoid having him kill people, although with a good plotty reason for it I wouldn't say no.)
Conner no longer has Ranger morphing abilities, but he does have super-speed, a cool car, and the ability to, uh. Look pretty while being kinda dumb.
Jen Scotts does have Ranger morphing abilities and excellent marksmanship, as well as police training from the FUTURE.
Re: Plot spare parts
Claudia is available to make random high tech crap out of other random crap.
Re: Plot spare parts
Drake - Teleporting and advice for the lovelorn.
Leia - Not a Jedi yet. Still not Queen.
Vida - Umm, fabulous fashion consulting skills?
Bel - Cosmic taxi for those alumni who don't want to book a portal. Brute squad with flaming balls of death.
Wyatt - Ditto on the cosmic taxi, with healing to boot. And magic. And Excalibur. *thumbs nose at Arthur*
I DO NOT HAVE A TYPE.

Alysha's a pretty highly powered witch but her big talent is charms. Need a pair of glasses charmed with true sight? Need to see in the dark? Want to make sure you can always follow a specific person? Other random charmy things? She's your girl. Also she can bake charms into pies - including things like truth spells and love charms. I have NO IDEA how that could go badly.
Also she can do other random things like know if people are magical, see truth, shut gates to the Underworld, and identify all sorts of magic crap.
Menolly's a musician so, uh, yeah, there's that. Also nine firelizards who are available to help or hinder or teleport as needed.

Re: Plot spare parts
Illyria: Fast, fighty tank who lacks most morals, for your buttkicking needs (or your 'recognizing a demon' needs)
Emmett: can plan parties, help you with your wardrobe, and teach Fellatio 101? (....no, seriously, canon) And, honestly, if your dude needs a one night stand, he's there.
I... actually don't have a Type. Aside from Kinda Gay.
Re: Plot spare parts
Sigh. Yeah, that applies to mine too. WTF.

Fiona can still CUT ANYTHING, see the strings that hold reality together, and has some demonic fu that she keeps locked up pretty well. If you want a mythological figure to have business on island, she's a good excuse.
Liir can still see the past, do some magic (he's getting better at stuff!), and fly a broom. He's also good for any Ozian madness.
Derek is still BAU and handyman.
Geoffrey is good for all your madness and Shakespearean needs.
Abby Irene will happily provide thaumaturgical forensics.
Re: Plot spare parts
Jono- Beyond his telepathic speech (which comes in handy for conversations through walls?), Jono also has the capacity to sense when things Are Not As They Should Be, on a psionic level. So if there are supernatural forces that have brainwaves happening... Well, he'll do his best to ignore them, at first, but a nagging sense of "that is BAD" will make him sit up and notice. Other abilities
that he uses all of once in canon and then hums and pretends aren't thereinclude listening to people thinking very loudly in his general direction, and projecting and picking up on the emotions of others. When a situation absolutely demands it, yes, he'll do it.Also, he blows things up real good. And toasts a mean Pop Tart.
Algren- Who speaks fluent Japanese and Blackfoot, has an immense interest in pretty much any new culture that flits under his nose, can hit a bullseye while stone drunk and mostly looking in the opposite direction, and, oh yes, he's a Samurai. I've especially been looking for reasons to get him out and interacting with people more, but outside of classes, there never seems to be enough for teachers to occupy themselves with, alas.
I like breaking his brain, so if you have any notions at all, from gremlin bites to actual plots, and you want to see him involved, I'd love you forever.
Warren- He has wings! And lots of money! And he's pretty! And also there's that healing factor that he knows will keep him from dying a horrible death, but he isn't aware that his blood can heal other people, too. So, if you want a somewhat shy, aerodynamically-awkward and slightly oblivious healer rich kid for anything, he's your boy.
Zack- Beyond the whole superhuman strength/speed/agility thing, the boundless optimism, and the gravity-defying hair, Zack has access to a wealth of items that are found in the FFVII universe. This includes some weapons, a growing collection of armor and accessories, a vast array of materia (which allow you to cast certain spells), healing items, and attack items. If you have any interest in using any of this for a plot, prod me, and I'll let you know how likely it is that he can get his hands on them. If not, there's always...
Reno- Who is an Alum, and thus he lives off the island, but that five-days-grace he gets a month means that I'm totally able to have him swing by if you ever need a really, really fast redhead who has few compunctions about crushing large cities in order to get the job done (though he is somewhat reformed from that sort of thing, honest), who isn't afraid to hit up the black market for anything that Zack can't obtain through honest means.
Also, he's pretty much always picking up Rookies, one way or another. So if you're in the market for a lanky redhead in a suit who likes to beat on crap with electrified sticks to play bad-role-model, you can prod me about that, too. ;)
