And now I'm remembering the bit from that episode with Lucy as Annie who believes she's Xena looking at the woman in the waiting room who thinks she's Joan of Arc and going "Bet my sword's bigger'n yours."
(Oh man, the meta in that one. Because the show exists in its own continuity, Lucy Lawless's character is actually a hardcore obsessed Xena fan who has a full-size cardboard standup of Xena in her bedroom and believes she was Xena in a past life.
How my head hasn't exploded ten times over trying to keep track of the timelines and meta and seven different kinds of retconning is a miracle of no minor magnitude, trufax . . .
