Stuff what is not general.

You know how some kids spend the summer after high school backpacking through different countries in Europe? Maybe a group of Fandom graduates could spend the summer backpacking through different dimensions.

This would obviously require mod permission and approval from the muns of whichever fandoms the kids visit. But before we go there, would anyone be interested in doing this? Anyone want to offer their home world for visiting and maybe play a couple of guest stars?

That sounds awesome. Pending canonmate approval, I'm more than willing to offer up the Very Special Greece.

I love this idea!

I don't think any of my kids have home worlds that would be interesting to visit but Joan would be up for taking the trip.

ETA: And I could totally play guest stars for some folks.

I could see Priestly being down for that. Again, not that his world would be all that interesting for it.

I can't see Jack going for the whole summer unless I pry him away from Sebastien permanently by May, but I like the idea.

His home world is totes open for backpackers, too.

Gwynn would totally volunteer her home world for this. :D

My other seniors would very much like trips like this.

I could prolly come up with a scenario for the Charmedverse (with my lovely fellow characters) and Titansverse. Happy to NPC them.

Karla is intending to invite people home to visit Kaeleer soon, so consider that open to this as well.

I've still got a year for Robin and Leda, but I volunteer the canons of Tully, Leda, Robin, Tim and Billy for your trip.

This reminds me actually. I was going to have Billy take the great American Road Trip, and offer an open invitation to any Fandomites and Alumni to accompany him, or just join him at points on the trip.

Perhaps this could fit in with uh, this.

I love this idea! I'd definitely send Hoshi, and I could probably volunteer Lion-o's Third Earth as a place they could visit. I'm not sure if Hoshi's Earth would be particularly interesting, but ENT canon does give us visits to the moon, Mars and Vulcan.

bigdamndestiny's fault, and I am putting it here to be prodded at.

In Buffy canon, there's a spell Tara does to make demons invisible (long story). Of course it backfires and leads to an invisible demon attack. I'd like to have something like that happen on the island, albeit without demons -- my tentative thought was that maybe she could be trying to show Magic Reserves how to quickly vanish magical supplies, and end up making all the magical *people* invisible until a counter spell could be done.

We could also go for invisible demons, but a)Tara would need a pretty specific initiative to do the spell that way, since it was dumb to start with in canon and b)I like the idea of a bunch of residents suddenly vanishing and needing to work out what happened.

Like I said, tentative plan, very much open for prodding.

Re: the spell, I just had the half-formed idea of a sort of mashup between that and "Same Time, Same Place." Which I have admittedly not watched in a very long time because it grossed me out so I may be misremembering details there.

Inviso-demons would render half my characters invisible. ;) It would also out Raven, not that that particularly bothers me at this point. Girl needs to get out of the closet at some point.

The Reserves vanishing could be fun, too. :)

Okay, so like, we all love OMWF event day, right? In a tentative and somewhat far-off-ish manner, now that I've got this girl here, I've been devoting some thought to the possibility of doing it XWP-style, a la The Bitter Suite (http://whoosh.org/epguide/bitter.html), since it'll be coming up for Gabrielle at some point in the next few months anyhow.

It'd be wacky and packed with tarot card symbolism, with possibly the twist of "staged" scenes based on whatever people are singing about at the time, maybe -- would anyone be up for that twist on a classic Fandom event?

This sounds particularly good for Leda, I'm totally up for that.

Wow. Lots of good ideas floating about. So here's one that just popped in my head :

Fandom Asylum:

In an alternate universe, the island is home to an insane asylum which specializes in delusional patients. Here all the patients are real with no magic or technology but think that they really are aliens, wizards, witches, etc. but they each have a counterpart back on our island where the delusion is real.

For example in the asylum there's a guy who thinks he's an alien warrior adopted by humans named Worf when really he's just a guy who used to fix cars.

Then suddenly there begins to be a bleed between our island and the asylum eventually leading our character's minds into the patients while those unaffected back pn the island try to figure out how this is happening and try to stop it.

Yeah, a lot of it comes from the wishverse plot but... I don't know. Just throwing it out there.

Something very similar came up back in December, if you want to poke at what was said then...
