Brainstorming Time!

Um, I might have spaced on this last month, but... holidays, so yay? Anyway! I know SOMEONE has been waiting for this, and I am in no way looking pointedly at YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Here be your more-or-less monthly brainstorming post, wherein you do that thing. With the suggesting new ideas and possibly developing on previously proposed ones.

So, having no idea if this has been tried/talked about/debated, but what if there was a general community center that offered mini-classes townies and students could take. There could be, say, a four week class on pottery or stained glass or knitting or public speaking or self-defense. Maybe a guest lecture series or artist talks? An opportunity for those townies who might have some skills to share but would die trying to stretch it out into a full semester of classes...
