20 Years Reunion Brainstorming

A suggestion was made in the original info post to provide a brainstorming post for everyone to rattle off ideas, plan futures, coordinate relationships and whatever else might be needed for the plot!

And thus, the brainstorming post has been birthed and lo, we present it to you for all the storming of the brains you might need to do! Have fun planning!

Name: Rinoa Heartilly Leonhart

Age at the Reunion: 37. She won't quite look it. She will, however, look different. More on that in a mo.

Backstory I've worked out so far: After Ultimecia is defeated, life goes back to normal for Squall-and-Rinoa's world. Most Sorceresses either go evil or stay in hiding, but Rinoa was on center stage for what was almost the end of the world, so doesn't have that option.

So instead she's going to carve her own path. She's going to embrace the Sorceress part of herself -- not in a dangerous power-happy kind of way, but positioning herself as a independent diplomat of sorts.

Appearance-wise, she's going to look very Sorceress-y and ethereal, like, with a facial tattoo or two and possibly a horn. Not in a pointy devil-horns kind of way, more the way Edea rocked it. Most of the weekend, she'll be wearing street clothes, but if there's any formal gathering, expect a very Sorceressy outfit.

Personally, she and Squall married and have two kids. He's her Knight, and makes appearances with her, and he goes on SeeD missions whenever he gets bored and wants to fight monsters.

How she could fit into your character's backstory: Rinoa's going to be busy, trying to negotiate treaties and keep the peace, but not so busy that she doesn't stay in touch, or go visiting, zomg. Her world has the internet, and phones, and friends are important to her. She would have invited people back to visit now and then, when things aren't crazy.
