20 Years Reunion Brainstorming
A suggestion was made in the original info post to provide a brainstorming post for everyone to rattle off ideas, plan futures, coordinate relationships and whatever else might be needed for the plot!

Age At The Reunion: 38
Backstory: As per canon, Alex is going to leave high school, get a wrestling scholarship to the University of Iowa and use that as a jumping point to get into medical school. From there, he'll head to Seattle and become a surgeon.
Of course, that's too easy for poor dear Alex. He'll also be divorced (from Izzie who he thinks he's too good for), he'll have been through a tumultuous relationship with Ava, a woman he loved who had mental health issues and wasn't who she said she was, and he'll still be taking care of his sick mother and also dealing with a brother who tried to kill his sister. So, not a happy life which leads to stress and crankiness. But, Dr. Karev!
How He Could Fit Into Your Character's Backstory: That's gonna be touch and go especially considering his life in Seattle will be shitty for the most part. He'd try to keep up with people but he'd probably lose touch as he got more overwhelmed by work and his family and his love life. People might get the occasional email or something but he's mostly gonna be out of touch and tight lipped about things.
Unless, randomly, you're ever in the Seattle Grace area and needed a surgeon, you might have seen him around. He wouldn't tell anyone where he was (his brother didn't even know) so popping up randomly would have to happen (and is fine with me).
