20 Years Reunion Brainstorming

A suggestion was made in the original info post to provide a brainstorming post for everyone to rattle off ideas, plan futures, coordinate relationships and whatever else might be needed for the plot!

And thus, the brainstorming post has been birthed and lo, we present it to you for all the storming of the brains you might need to do! Have fun planning!

Name: Bobby Drake

Age at the reunion: 38ish. Yay, weirdass time.

Backstory I've worked out so far: During his last year at Fandom High, in addition to helping Sookie out with the Fae War, something happens (that I'm not being specific about for spoilery reasons, but you could prolly find with two minutes of googling) that causes him to drop out. Of course, it's Bobby, so of course he comes back. After graduating, Bobby attended NYU to get his accounting degree, as he was determined to have an actual, marketable real-world skill.

He married Sookie just after college, and they have two kids, Charlotte (12) and Henry (9). He did end up rejoining the X-Men though, and most of the ensuing twenty years were spent doing missions for them, with the occasional side-trip to Sookie's world because Eric just can't live without them. In his day job, he teaches math and accounting type classes at Xavier's.

Rather recently, he's gone through some issues with his powers- an injury was slowly turning his body into permanent ice, and then he went and got himself blown up and hadn't been able to return to flesh since (although at least he didn't have to re-form his body out of pee). Until one day when he woke up and... didn't have powers anymore. Cue Emma ordering him to take a break from fielding phone calls from panicked parents inquiring about their kids who are students at the school... to go to his own school reunion. Yeah.

How he could fit into your character's backstory: Dude likes to talk, so if he considers you a friend he probably called/emailed/visited pretty regularly. And obvs you were invited to the wedding! The really, really important part to note here is that he absolutely wouldn't have told anyone about the slowly-turning-to-ice thing. And as he's rather literally coming from the pages of Decimation: The Day After, nobody would know about the powers-loss. And please, if you know that he gets his powers back, dun be telling him?
