3MD: It's that time again!
Time to date five people in one night. And to do that, we turn to... THREE MINUTE DATES!
On Saturday, October 6, characters who sign up in this here post will get paired together by me and Fate (by which I mean the RNG). True love will surely spring forth, just like it always does, guaranteed (please note: this is not a guarantee).
Some ground rules:
*Three minutes will equal ten total pings, five each. Take another ping or two to wrap up if you need to, but please be efficient! There is plenty of pinging to do, plus you can always get more in at the bar afterwards.
*3MD is open to both adults and teenagers. Teachers and students will NOT be paired together. Students and townies MAY be paired together if I can't avoid it and/or if they're close enough in age.
*A strong effort to pair people by sexual preference will be made. However, depending on how the lineups fall, gay/bi characters may end up with uninterested straight characters, and two straight characters of the same gender may get paired up. It happens sometimes. Sometimes there's a whole round just for that. Who knows what I'll be forced to do thanks to how even the lineups are? Not me!
*You can sign up with as many on-island characters as you want, but please keep in mind that each one commits to 5 threads with people in all sorts of time zones. Try not to sign up more than you can handle so everyone can have a chance to complete all of their dates.
*The post will go up Friday evening (October 5) and will be available for slowplay through the weekend. The bulk of the playing should take place on Saturday, but if you need to wrap things up on Sunday, that's fine. If you sign up and later find out that you won't be around at all on October 6, PLEASE let me know to take your characters off the list, especially if you've signed up with multiple characters. And if you know you won't be around at all that day, please don't sign up. It never feels good when somebody has a thread or two without any interaction.
If you're interested, please leave a comment to this post with your character's name, type (student, teacher, townie) and gender preference (if any). Comments are screened by default, questions will be unscreened and answered. Also, if you're signing up a townie that can't drink at the Devil's Nest, let me know if you'd rather be matched with teenagers or adults (or no preference). Signups will be open through Wednesday, October 3 at 11:59 PM Central to give me time to smash random numbers together.
(And yes, in the post-GOB era, Yakko hosts. Beware.)
