Re: Backstories!
Age at the Reunion: God, he'll be pushing 50.
Backstory I've Worked Out So Far: Jono has seen far too much shit to deal with your shit, thank you. He's spent most of this next 20 years (Fandom Time) in Kaeleer, serving in Karla's First Circle, helping to win a war, being the annoying uncle that happens to be a horrible influence on her children. He keeps drifting back to the island to teach here and there and to run the theatre, probably even more lately, now that Karla and Warren's kids are growing up, than he had been over the years. He's also spent a fair amount of time in his own world, because the X-Men are like a disease he just can't shake off, and as if he's going to keep his nose out of trouble when there's obviously so much trouble to be had. A few years from now, he'll be hit with Legion's reality-altering powers, and, lucky boy, he'll have his body and powers returned to him the way they were back when he was in high school. So, while he's actually pushing fifty, physically he's still somewhere in his mid-thirties. You could almost say the years have been pretty kind to him, if, of course, he still had more than half of his face.
How Your Character Can Fit In: If your character has anything to do with Karla's Kaeleeran goings-on, you'll probably have had some dealings with Jono over the years. He's kind of insinuated himself into the family, whether the family likes it or not, and he likes the acceptance that he gets, even as a faceless freak of nature, in a Territory that he just so happened to help liberate over two decades ago.
Likewise, if you've spent any amount of time around the island over the past little while, he's probably a fairly familiar face, even if it isn't blue and full of lips like it used to be. Fandom might not be the kindest place for him, but he just can't bring himself to turn his back on it for good. He still owns the Boards, and he's still prone to teaching from time to time. Fandomites, you're stuck with this one.
