The Welcome to Dreamwidth edition!

The usual rundown applies here- brainstorming for plots and events goes within, game-wide events have to be approved by the admin team no matter what babble goes on inside this post, and I'll update this handy list over here with anything new that might pop up in the OCD!

For the vague stuff! The 'I had this notion that I would like to develop into an actual something!' stuff!

So I halfway feel like we've already done something like this in the past, but I can't for the life of me remember for sure.

ANYWAY. I was thinking a weird video game glitch random event might be fun. And admittedly, I am mostly thinking about Fallout 4 and Skyrim type glitches for this and it's

thatsweirdright's fault, but like . . . objects randomly clipping through each other with no adverse reaction whatsoever, or NPCs inexplicably just appearing on rooftops and going about their business like nothing's wrong. Or that one NPC where every time you approach them it triggers the exact same line of dialogue. Wacky physics engine goofs, people just partially not rendering or disappearing from the scene entirely while the scene continues on as planned, accidentally going out of bounds for the scene so you're just running around in blank space, things like that. Or one of my Fallout 4 favorites: when you're trying to have a Serious Conversation with a companion and two NPCs just spawn in the background and start having a big ol' fight.

This would probably be something where there would have to be a preset list of possible glitches, but potential for hilarity abounds.

OH OH I THOUGHT OF A SPECIFIC ONE: that one task that you'd really like to finish, but you can't because the ONE THING YOU NEED TO COMPLETE IT IS BUGGED AND REFUSES TO SPAWN SAPDOFIUALS;DKFJAL;SK I'm not bitter.

For the more fleshed-out stuff! You've put some time into this one and it might just need a little bit of spit-shine before being potentially good to go!

For any little bits and bobs that you can think of that might be useful toward a game-wide event or somebody's personal something-or-other!

I found this cute site that lets you design your own "wheel of fortune" spinner!

It might be kinda fun to play with; like you would have a spin of a wheel with some of the plot pieces that are here and just pieces? Or random TV Tropes? and your character has to play that out for the day...

Or alternatively, you have a spinner with character names on it and you have to find a way to get your character to interact with the spun name...

just... fun ideas :)

I... I'm going to just spend the day spinning things here. This could be a super neat way to get characters out and about who otherwise might not, and I love it. :D

I may have made one, imagining the Island was trying to decide what to do next...

I gotta admit to giggling darkly.

Because somebody broke the website with homework on newbie day and I'm not taking any chances, here.
