This could have gone up yesterday, but I could also have gotten wrapped up in 3MD between bouts of swimming to work and then home again in a rainstorm, so you're getting it today!

Yup, it's that time again. Brainstorming time. Y'all know the drill by now. I post the thing, you suggest the thing, someone takes the thing to the admins, maybe someday we do the thing. The list of past suggestions is over here, question mark, profit!

For the little plot-nuggets you have that could use more fleshing out!

Secret Non-Denominational Holiday Representative.

Not only do you get a RNG partner but the gift must be delivered in secret. Kind of like Mission: Impossible only with gifts. If you fail the secret part, you get a bunch of fluffy snow dumped on you no matter where you are.

Snowball fight.

I don't know if these are regularly scheduled things in the winter. My silly idea is that the island is participating. If you're around someone else and stop looking at them a snowball comes from their direction and hits you.

Fandom Greatest Race.

People wake up stuck in some other reality with a single clue. They have to work as a team because the portals won't work unless every member is there. They have to follow clues through a bunch of portal stops to get back here. My idea was for it to be a cultural exchange moment sort of thing but that might not be such a good idea considering some of the source material for characters. Winning team would be RNG'd but so would the losing team. Winners get a free round trip portal ticket?

I love all of these and am adding them to the spreadsheet! I'd love to see the greatest race thing figured out for big darn plot points, especially. The cultural exchange angle makes me happy, and there are plenty of canons not represented in game that could make for interesting pit-stops.

Unless something goes really wrong this month I should be able to volunteer to run the Secret Not Santa for the RNG and original OCD post. I assume people will run most of it through the regular game comms or their own journals. It would be kind of cool to have a success or failure tracker in the main post so people could bookmark.

It's got some neat interaction potential to it! Definitely worth hammering out logistics to and sending an ask to the admins about, I think. (If you'd like a hand with any of that, hit me up. I've always, always got my e-mail within arm's reach, even when my Discord access is limited!)

I heard there is a calendar but so help me, I can't find it. Have you a link? That would help narrowing down some dates.

No worries at all! The calendar can be found over here! The admins keep it updated whenever something comes up that we all would like to know about, and it acts in the place of the old plot calendar and the academic calendar both.

For stuff that HAS been fleshed out, but maybe you need something to make it work, or you just feel like announcing it to the game at large!

For all the other bits and bobs- your character has something you'd like them to use, or you think it'd be neat to set up a particular business or service on the island, or you just remembered that mcguffin that's been floating around for thirteen years that hasn't seen the light of day in forever.

We've done something vaguely Lovecraftian horror many many moons ago, but dammit, you've given me the itch.

My heart of hearts wants something with penalties for increasing madness, because naturally...

I keep thinking about it. I've been toying with the idea just to dump on Hernando because I want to do something with this. I'm just not sure what or how to fit it into the game without it turning into a BDE with eldritch horrors invading.

That being said, I've nothing against it becoming a BDE with eldritch horrors invading..

I would suggest looking at the board game Mountains of Madness for playable penalties with that.
