Brainstorming!

Hey look, it's March! So let's start this month with another brainstorming post, shall we? You all know the drill by now. Suggestions go here, but just suggesting it won't guarantee that it happens, unless an admin decides it should be run or somebody approaches them with it as an event! Suggesting it here will get it added to Ye Olde Spreadsheet, though, so feel free to hop in and spitball!

General Ideas!

For the vague stuff, the stuff that hasn't been hammered into a fully-realized plot event outline yet and could use a fair bit of tinkering.

Otherwise known as, "something like this should happen sometime," or "wouldn't it be cool if," the thread.

Back to the Best Of The [insert era]. 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, or earlier. Roaring 20's? Prohibition with gangsters, molls, and flapper dresses?

My thought would be a specific event from one of those eras. Like a sock hop for the 50's, disco for the 70's, roller rink for the 80's. A localized Thing of Good instead of all the societal ick that was true in any of those eras. Part of me's a little worried this is effectively white-washing but.. it's a fantasy fandom game and most of the characters aren't even from Earth so.. *spirit fingers* An additional idea for it is to mess with people's ages, so for the sock hop or roller rink or whatever, people are teenagers who think they're from that era, for the prohibition and disco, they're young adults from the age of jingle and jive.

Island-wide mystery noir. You know those themed dinner things that are like a live action game of Clue? That but the whole island set to pulp noir vibe. Clues and stuff left around for people to find.

Locked room mystery. Characters who opt in wake up in a locked room or series of rooms and have to figure their way out.

We have actually had a Noir Weekend before! It was a grand time. People got murdered, it was a delight. :D

I like the greatest hits of the eras ideas, too. And a locked room mystery would be neat. Would it be an IC opt in, or an OOC opt in with the characters not sure wtf they're doing in there?

Stuff that's gotten a bit more spit and polish! Use this thread if you've been tinkering at your event or plot or what-have-you for a while, or have a fairly good idea of what you want it to be when it materializes, and you want to gauge interest or poke at that one little thing you can't quite smooth over just yet.
