Angel plot: Because I'm that OCD

This is for all folks who volunteered to help out with the Angel plot. I figure this way we can organize things and people can start talking to each other about how things will work.

So far it looks like these are the definites:

1) Angel will get sick very late Friday night and be dragged to FTEC where he'll remain for the duration of this plotline. (This will probably last a week just to give everyone a chance to do something.)

2) Paige will unsuccessfully attempt to heal him either Saturday or Sunday

3) Giles will be the one to confirm/figure out that Angel's been hit with the Killer of the Dead poison

4) Folks over in the UK will try to do a research mission to find out more about the poison, possibly including a run-in with Andrew.

Beyond that we've got tons of fandoms and people to play with, so hopefully we can find something for everyone to do.

My current thought is that it'd probably be easier if we have a UK team and a Fandom team. So I'm going to make some OCD threads for anybody in the UK who wants to join in to talk with the others and co-ordinate, and same deal for those in Fandom.

In a worst case scenario we've got Giles with a possible avenue to Slayers who could all donate some blood to give Angel enough to heal him. My preference is for this to be a cross-fandom solution however, so let's keep that as a plan B. So UK folks? Maybe you're the ones who research the poison and start finding alt solutions, and maybe the Fandom folks are the ones who actually get the alt solution? (Doesn't have to be that, I'm just brainstorming.)

Also so far radio looks like the easiest deus ex machina to get the information out there to people who might not normally be in the loop about what's going on with Angel. I know some folks (like UK people) need to be kept in the dark about Angel being sick, so can you guys just not listen to the radio that day? Would that mess you up at all? Lemme know.

Now to make some OCD threads. Cause I'm just. That. Anal.

[ooc: OCD threads a-coming! Up like uppy things!]

As I said here (http://community.livejournal.com/fhplotterywheel/789.html?thread=18453#t18453). Pippi has a crystal ball that could provide a jumping off point for a search for a cure. It would be totally in character for her to pack something like that for England.

(Can't bring a flintlock through customs... Crystal Ball! Yeah. That's just as good! What if somebody gets lost! How can I not pack it!)

Actually, if anyone has anything they want to take that would be... difficult to get through customs either way, Pip can smuggle them. He's done this in cannon and apparently has a long and fruitful relationship with a band of smugglers.

Operation Kidnap Master Dweeb! Woot!

Can we make sure that it doesn't provide the *exact* solution we need? Otherwise it would make this plot die way too soon.

Can't we use a simple NFB tag? Or is that too simple of a solution.

alt solution: Boykissy?

Oh no. It wouldn't. It only gives general information about a person, place, or thing. The answer we get can be as mysterious as you'd like it to be.

For instance, Pippi asked the ball, in cannon, where her father was when he was kidnaped. The ball gave the name of the town where he was, but not where in Port O'Pelluse her father is.

As I suggested in my other post. The ball could give us the name of, for example, an author who wrote a book that would lead to a cure. But not that the person was an Author, or that this person is dead, or which of their books has the cure or where the cure is.

If it involves Andrew? I'm in.

I still need to make that "Andrew fan. I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry!" icon for my mun-journal. . . .

*blinks* And just where would he smuggle these things?

Alfred has all sorts of interesting connections and resources. And a lot of time on his hands and a nasty do-gooding streak.

I've been wanting to bring in Angela's canon ability to see ghosts anyhow -- could she have an encounter with, e.g., the ghost of a Slayer that would help point them in the right direction?

(For people who don't know the canon: yes, she sees ghosts. They seem like people; the tip-off they aren't is that no one else can see them, with the exception of Angela's mother. In MSCL canon, Angela doesn't seem to know what's going on, though at FH I've let her have some inkling.)

If that isn't useful, research ahoy!

*waves hand* It is better that you do not ask too many questions.

And no, it's not where you are so innocently implying that he smuggles them. He's much more clever than that.
